This story pissed me off, but I’ll give it credit for the best spin I’ve seen yet. The Essence readers will take it as a black man got punished for almost becoming governor.
Out of the 67 counties in Florida, that guy “won” only 12, heavily controlled by the democrats. The other 55 counties all went to DeSantis. Similar to the national results where 90- 95% of the land mass voted red but is often ruled by the other 5% that voted blue.

Based on how DeSantis did in 2022, obviously DeSantis is FAR BETTER at governing than at campaigning...something he should think about before trying to take on Trump.
