Much like ACORN, BLM served its purpose (riots, looting, statue/name removal and of course getting every major sports org around the world to kneel and wear their logo every game) and now on to something different.

Just so happens I am listening to the full speech by Reverend King at Memphis April 3rd, 1968. He was speaking eloquently on behalf of the Santitation Workers.
No one can speak anymore.
Granted. he is speaking to his audience, but also to the Bull Connors of the Day.
While King has his detractors, I would say his, as well as the Black’s crusade was a righteous one.
If one gets a chance, listen to his full speech on youtube. The call to battle to march injunction or no is a powerful one.
And a lot of well-meaning people who wanted to improve the lives of black people and promote "social justice" were "had."

Martin Luther King was far from perfect. There is evidence that he was a womanizer, and a plagiarist.
I don’t care. He call to nonviolent protest against racism is what matters. That’s the key point. That’s what makes him a great American. Everything else is secondary.
I will not say that MLK is comparable to George Washington. Because he is not. Nevertheless, there are some similarities. Washington was also imperfect. He was a slave owner. And he lost his share of battles. But his vision for a better America is what matters the most.
Same with King.
