I am explaining the process. I won’t ever vote for Trump because is is as old as dirt.
Trump knew they were coming after him. And yet…he played right into it by lying and not following the subpoena.
So, either Trump is stupid and a super narcissist. Or, he did this intentionally to make the government look bad and generate some red meat for the cult.
Do I think others should have been charged? Absolutely. But they weren’t. He was.
Let me ask you…if the government kept coming at you and you knew they had bad intent, would you take three bites at the Apple to answer their court orders?
I am pretty sure your lawyers would be all over getting them the paper they were asking for.

Since he stepped off the escalator in 2015, he has been relentlessly attacked, subtly, clandestinely, openly, on national media, by the entire US Govt, the FBI, the CIA, NSA, Fisa court, the DOJ, sitting presidents, and all they can muster to focus on his ass.
Literally years of prosecution and persecution, by the US Congress, by boatloads of bought and paid for actors, real and in name only.

Trump didn’t before.
My decision not to vote for Trump is based on his age. It’s based on his being a lame duck from day one. It’s based on the fact he would likely loose the down ticket, thus being impotent from day one.
If you want what is best for the country, you need to consider what the entire government would look like for the four years of another Biden administration, because Trump won’t win. And even if he won, very few good people would work for him. It would be four years of bombastic rankings of an old guy with nothing but court cases and unenforceable executive orders.
The courts don’t care about any of that.
They will say, “A subpoena was delivered and Trump told us he provided everything twice…and he lied.”
That is what this is about. If you or I did that, we would be charged as well.
People are trying to make this more sinister and complicated than it is.

Or is there some pure as the driven snow judge out there, one that is not on the take or payroll, hasn't been informed of how pretty and nice their family is?
Who is this judge that has signed off on these subpoenas, and who generated them?
These are the questions, not why did Trump not get in line and sit up and shut up when told to do so.

The fact that you cannot see that they have tried for six years to process crime. This man is astounding. Imagine that there are other politicians who could survive such an onslaught? The fact that he is still standing is prima facie evidence that he has done nothing wrong.

The subpoena was specific. Trump failed to answer it.
What he had the power to do, or not do, or whether the status of the documents was in question. They asked for stuff marked classified. He held back those documents. Over 100 of them.
Go down to your local superior court, watch the parade of folks, and make that general statement.
The fact that you cannot conceive of a situation where Trump has done anything tells me you are close to being a member of a cult.
