First mistake, naming the kid “Daleyza.”

At 3 years old, a family get together is sufficient.

When my kids were young, for their birthday, we skipped a day of school, did something special that they wanted to do, I cooked their favorite meal, and made a birthday cake that would never have won any awards in a cake decorating contest, but they loved them because it was always decorated with something special to them.

>> Thing is I know we had parties that young. So why is no one showing up? Are people just rude? Is Mom inviting the wrong people? What is it?

Good question. Who knows for sure. My guess:

Reality for YOU was real people who knew each other face to face. Meeting face to face at an in person birthday party was not a stretch from reality for you and your cohort.

Reality for this Mom is Tik Tok World. Tik Tok World is a vastly different place than the real world. It actually CAN be a stretch for Zoomers living in Tik Tok World to assemble face to face.

I recall seeing a news quip about the fact that a visit to a gun gange is a very popular vacation stop for foreigners visiting the US. It’s apparently especially popular with Japanese tourists. A guaranteed crowd pleaser even if it does make Joe Scarborough’s head explode. Which would be a bonus.

Did she not coordinate with people on whether they were confirmed to attend or not?

I think this was what it was about.

Perhaps we will hear more that the pics were taken before the party.

my kids had parties every year- sometimes kids that were not invited showed up.
Cake, food, games, prizes.
We never did a big to do b/c we did not have alot of $$ back then. So homemade everything.
My youngest went to Chuck E Cheese for her 21st birthday b/c we never took her as a kid, lol.

I understand your frustration, but I live in a state that is even bluer than California, and I completely understand why people in other states might have a view of the state that is less than complimentary.

Some of it is not based on first-hand information, but conservatives rightly look at my state, and see the likes of Ted Kennedy, Barney Frank, Elizabeth Warren, Ed Markey, Gerry Studds, John Kerry, and so on, with no counterbalancing conservative sanity worth mentioning.

California, with the elected offices being filled by people like Nancy Pelosi, Gavin Newsome, Dianne Feinstein, and the list goes on has the same effect on people who don’t live there.

And it isn’t like red states such as Texas and Florida don’t have Leftist whack-jobs in office, they surely do.

But the truth is, California is hemorrhaging citizens and businesses, and encouraging illegals to squat and crap all over everything while passing insane legislation at the same time, so it isn’t as if people look negatively at states such as yours and mine with no reason at all to reach their conclusions.

We live in those places, so we know there are redeeming things there that they don’t see.

But people aren’t making it up out of whole cloth. They have rational reasons to view our blue states as cultural cesspools, at least to them.

My heart goes out to other conservatives who live “behind enemy lines”, but that is our lot in life. The political systems in your state and mine are fixed, rigged, and unscaleable. We aren’t likely to change them.

I see you are new here, you are going to have to toughen up and accept the criticism if you want to spend any time here. I know some people make comments about California falling into the ocean and Massachusetts being given away to Canada, and it is often done by people who may have never even set foot in your state or mine.

But that is reality. And their perceptions are not wholly unfounded.

A two-year-old’s going on three bday party?

She hasn’t even been to kindergarten yet.

Or nursery school.

Mother spends a lot of money on the party. Stooped money. I’ll gander that whatever circle this mother is in, the other mothers don’t want to expose their children to these kind of moronic expectations.

Maybe people objected to being associated with Disney Groomers, Inc.

Why do so many people feel the need to tell their stupid stories on social media?

3 seems young. Who did she invite? Family? Neighbors? How many friends does a 3 year old have?

It's best to invite only the number of children that match your child's age. 3 year old, invite 3 friends. 16th, invite 16, at most.

Exactly. The average 3-year-old doesn’t even know it’s her birthday. Mom wants attention.

Kids birthday parties these days are off the hook. It’s no wonder we have so many narcissists.
