If you believe any phone is not going to be spied on—and a phone from Musk at that—I believe you are grievously deluded.

Elon Musk’s SpaceX and T-Mobile join forces to bring cellphone service to remote areas
New York Post, August 25, 2022

"U.S wireless carrier T-Mobile US Inc will use Elon Musk-owned SpaceX’s Starlink satellites to provide mobile users with network access in parts of the United States, the companies announced on Thursday, outlining plans to connect users’ mobile phones directly to satellites in orbit."

"The new plans, which would exist alongside T-mobile’s existing cellular services, would cut out the need for cell towers and offer service for sending texts and images where cell coverage does not currently exist, key for emergency situations in remote areas, Musk said at a flashy event on Thursday at his company’s south Texas rocket facility."

Since Apple is already on that path with Globalstar, you don’t think the guy with the biggest LEO constellation would let the opportunity go by, doya?

Would someone make a nice flip phone that has a decent antenna?

I just would like to be able to make calls.

Nice but like you say pricey!

I have been tempted by sat phones. Even more pricey though.

Will it make calls on its own?

Yes but the calls will come from inside your house!

---------

Actually this makes some sense. Given his capital and the ease of contracting a phone (google does it) it's probably all about the software - and in this case, he may try to integrate it into his vision for Twitter becoming "X - the everything app" - text, voice, payments, media player, and government 'social credit score'... And you can call your tesla on it and connect via starlink and book a reservation on one of his rockets.

Unless he’s got a team writing a new OS, it’ll run Android. And the market is already flooded with smart devices running Android. And if he’s trying to write a new OS, it’ll be years before they catch up with IOS and Android.

I like my Apple but I would dump mine in a second for a Tesla phone.

“It would be extra fun if it’s internet worked everywhere with Starlink.”

Oh it will be. With 5G they will be the ultimate tracking system.

More importantly, he will bypass the wireless providers (Verizon, At&t, Vodaphone, et al) and go directly via StarLink. Or at least have the ability to do so, totally eclipsing Apple’s deal.

I read about his phone last year. It will have the ability to make phone calls thru his starlink satellite network.

When his Starlink stock IPO happens it will go up and up like his rockets. Musk said maybe 2025 or 2026. He says he has to make more money. Starlink already has made $17 billion...

It will handle internet, tv shows and movies, sports and phones calls. Musk will be a trillionaire and I will be worth many millions as I will buy the stock.

The Musk takeover of Twitter has set back the WEF timetable by years. He singlehandedly showed the world how the Deep State was running the censorship against conservatives.

It is hard to see how this fits with being a "ringleader" of the WEF.

I suspect Musk does not want the World of the Future to be South Africa. He prefers the Jetsons.

Current smartphones are disguised individual control devices.

If Musk creates a smartphone which does not track you (perhaps with a manual switch to cut out GPS?), it makes the overall digital enslavery of the population much, much harder.
