The whole forgery and counterfeiting argument is laughable. This is yet another abuse of power that will ultimately get slapped by the USSC, but the process to get there will be a PITA.
Election fraud is not fraud. Pointing out election fraud is fraud. Kafka told us about this.
I am a big Electoral College fanboy, and I’ve studied it quite a bit.
Electors are appointed by State Legislatures, but they are “certified”, if you will, by Governors who sign a certificate of ascertainment which goes with their credentials when their votes are submitted to the Secretary of State and afterwards delivered to the President of the Senate for disposition.
Voters and voting, in a strict, technical sense have nothing to do with this, EXCEPT that all 50 State Legislatures have chosen to use individuals voting as the path to appointment. “Voting for President” could end tomorrow and the legal and Constitutional process would just go on as originally designed.
Dueling slates of Electors have been submitted to Congress in the past, but only when Legislatures were divided or Governors have refused to certify.
My position has always been that the choice of Biden was finished after business hours on December 14, 2020 and that there were no legitimate “competing Electors” after that date. The “alternate electors” were not appointed by any Legislature, none had certificates of ascertainment, and Congress had no reason to address any of their partisans.
Congress could have (and did) entertain objections to some of the votes (as they did in 2016 and 2000) but there were AT MOST. 2-3 votes to sustain any objection and the inauguration of Biden and Harris was inevitable long before January 6, 2021.
The only other possible intervention would have been for one or more of the Legislatures of Arizona, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, or Georgia to file an objection with the Secretary of State prior to the delivery of the votes to the President of the Senate, but none of them did so, none went into session to discuss it, and the Republicans in the Pennsylvania Legislature fled so they would not have to discuss it.
All five legislatures in question consented to the appointment of the Biden/Harris electors, and if they did so by breaking their own rules, that’s as their prerogative.
That’s a good explanation.
Hey! Our posts are getting angrier and angrier. What more do you want?
One Freeper told me that he holds liberals in utter contempt, and then got really angry when I told him that did absolutely nothing.
It would take a lot of effort to overcome our woes; but, voting in rigged elections and angry blogging seems to be the limit of our action.
