Did he grieve the faux loss of his second kidney?
Or did his devotion to the one kidney he’s always had become that much deeper?
Who knows? I’m just remembering Hank Gathers.
I wonder if the DAD has second thoughts about getting his son all boostered up?
I agree
Yes very sad, but amazing, and so great they could save him.
For those interested, the known ( preCOVID ) rate of sudden cardiac arrest in athletes < 25 years old has been known to be ~ 13-15 per 100,000 athletes / year. There are currently k500+ NCAA athletes. and about 8 million high school athletes.
The baseline number of student athletes dying from sudden cardiac arrest is ~ 2000 / year, and a significantly higher number of adolescents that suffer an arrest are saved.
It will be interesting to see how much that number changes in the next 10 years or so. No current published widespread data about an incidence change as of yet.
Don’t burn me alive please, these are just the known published numbers.
Ron Springs and Everson Walls played on opposite sides of the football as teammates with the Dallas Cowboys in the 1980s. But the two men shared a bond beyond the locker room, well after their playing days.
Walls joined Springs in the battle against Type 2 Diabetes by donating one of his kidneys to his friend and former teammate in March 2007. The transplant helped extend Springs’ life.
However, for Walls, this gift was not motivated by generosity. “It was more selfish than heroic,” Walls recently explained. “Everyone wants to call it heroic. It was selfish. That’s my boy. I wanted him around. He made life funnier, just from being in his presence.”
LeBron is around 40 years old. An 18 year old son would put him at 22 when he fathered the child.

I’m 68 and had a quad by-pass in 2020 and I am not vaxxed.
Work in the yard, re-roofed my big tool shed, do all kinds of stuff. Even with Florida’s high heat and humidity!......................
Depends if the cause of the cardiac issue is correctable. We don’t even know the extent of damage to the heart muscle of him or others like damar hamlin. They may not be able to sustain high athletic activity for an extended period of time. Bronny is probably gone for this season.
His pop is worth a billion…
Still sucks for him though.
cardiac problems never ever existed before the experimental vaccine arrived. /S
Reggie Lewis…
Good post—the jab has proven to be Russian roulette.
Not every death. Just the young healthy people with no history of problems suddenly having heart problems or blood clots in the last couple of years. It’s simple pattern recognition.
I was wondering if he would be able to play any sport from now on. Probably now.
