What storms? Has not rained around here in some time. There is an issue with security cameras. Places install them, but thy don’t plan for follow on maintenance after the initial one year warranty. These cameras need routine maintenance and replacement. People neglect them and they fail.

People who want to prey on kids watch the routines of the kids, and their parents or families.
There was a guy that watched kids get off the bus for weeks at a time. Then one day he struck. He kidnapped a middle school girl, blindfolded her and took her to a place that he owned, raped her and held her captive. For two or so weeks she was missing. For some reason, he decided to let her go free. Took her blindfolded back to the general area where she was from. He told her to wait 30 minutes before taking her blindfold off, that he would be watching her from afar, and would take her back to the remote location if she didn’t follow his directions. Of course she did.
The good news was that she had kept her wits about her during her ordeal. She remembered lots of details for the cops. Her description of where she had been taken was released to the public, and the guy’s family thought it sounded enough like their brother’s property, so gave a tip to the cops. I don’t know if they realized it was their brother who had kidnapped her, or if they thought someone else had been holding her there, but it turned out it was him. I don’t remember how much time he got, but I think it was probably around 20.
The whole community was shocked to learn it was him. He was right under their noses the whole time. He had stalked those kids, and then picked one out based on routines they used.
