This case isn’t as simple as it seems. The teenager claims that the $5000 payment demand made from his Instagram account was not sent by him but sent by a hacker. However all the texts that he has from the teacher are all authentic.
Why would the teacher go to the authorities with the $5000 demand and think that an alleged affair wouldn’t be discovered?
This one needs more time and investigation before I condemn either person.

when i was a freshman in high school, my friends next door neighbor had a torrid affair with a neighborhood kid all summer long.
Everybody knew about Jeff and Janet- nobody called the police or the newspaper...it was handled pretty discreetly by the boys father.
He ( kid nor dad) would not have referred to it as abuse.
Nobody moved, no divorce, nothing. It just supposedly ended.

When I was that age all my teachers were females. Unfortunately they were all dressed in black habits from head to toe. No sex offered, although I did have one follow me into the little boys room . . . to wash my mouth out with soap for uttering a profanity! That was over 70 years ago but there’s some things you’re never able to forget!

Hebephilia is an attraction to children in the 11-14 age group.
Ephebophilia is an attraction to those in the 15-19 age group.
So, while the woman in question is definitely a hebephile and a ephebophile, she doesn’t qualify as a pedophile since the kid was 14 when it all started.

No one uses those terms in common language. The only people who might ever use those esoteric words are specialized psychiatrists and people who are attempting to excuse child molestation. This women is a perverted pedophile, regardless of how many people like you say otherwise.
Freepers are usually good at figuring out false allegations but all except two posts on this thread just assume this woman is guilty. Even with the kid’s strange (coached) statement about how vulnerable he is? Even though he tried to blackmail her for $5,000. Even though he claims a woman with three children has a time to fool around every day? None of it makes sense.
This kid probably isn’t very smart. In his school 85% are innumerate and illiterate, 99% are minority. He may have an older relative who knows how to counterfeit instagram messages. There’s much more to this story.
I looked them up several years ago because I knew pedophile didn’t cover everything.
