I had to assume it was, since it was the only picture in the article, without any caption. 🙂

"Is that the photo in question? Looks like a log...nothing indicating the form of any sort of creature.

Unless they have an outboard motor, logs don't usually leave a wake.

one theory about this that would be more grounded in surviving species is that the monster sightings are eels. there is a circumstance where eels will surface coiled, created the visual effect of a sea serpent.

Loch Ness was under a glacier not that long ago. I am agnostic on bigfoot, but Nessie has some notable logistic issues if it is supposed to be some exotic survivor species of ancient times

I do find the fact stories have been around for at least centuries interesting - apparently as long as we have written records (almost). prior to then, the land would have been early scots (irish invaders) and maybe at some point speakers of old northumbrian (the modern line for gaelic is quite close to inverness), before that picts, and before that whoever the picts displaced or assimilated, but we have no written records from any of those peoples.

There’s no wake associated from what’s inside the small or large circle, which is the object in question.

I believe that it may exist, but it’s probably a large eel.
