You don’t have to go crazy buying the latest greatest tactical shotgun. A plain Jane Mossberg 500 pump with an 18 1/2 inch barrel is a great weapon.
M16 isn’t a bad idea. I qualified expert level when I was in the Army. Anything less would have been embarrassing, considering I was on the rifle team in college.
Thanks.
Nice!!
i also prefer 00 buckshot over slugs.
Mine gets cleaned twice monthly after I go to the range.
Equal parts:
Type IIII Automatic transmission. Fluid
Mineral spirits
Kerosene
Acetone
On.y use brand new transmission fluid. Old stuff will mess it up.
Whoops, I meant Type III transmission fluid
You'll shoot your eye out.
Alternate them for maximum effect. First round should be double ought.
“For a defense profile... not hunting? Easy:
Rifle|shotgun|pistol
AR|Keltec KSG|Glock
You’re welcome.”
That seems to be pretty much the consensus of most Freepers. A 12 or 20 ga shotgun; An AR-15 (.223); and a 9mm or .45 handgun.
Question though, please. Is that per household? Or per adult in the household?
Humonga, cowabuga from down unda
Yes
Pump 12ga,
Glock 23
Bushmaster AR-15
There are dozens of equally valid choices.
Depends on which room of the house the three guns will be in...
I have 3 rooms with at least three guns...
It’s all a matter of taste...
OTOH, living somewhere else than MD might cause me to readjust the distribution and density...
Semi-auto handgun and pistol caliber carbine, both of the same caliber
AR-15 or Mini-14
For an urban guy living alone this set of three might seem unusual but I think it is very practical in a lot of scenarios, including neighborhood problems, looting situations, and even everyday living.
1. Your baby pistol in 380 or 9mm so that you always have something, whether gardening, wearing summer wear, or hanging out inside the house.
2. Your gunfight pistol like a large capacity 9mm for shoulder holster or side carry when you can wear it, or feel the need to carry it, even around the house.
3. Your AR-style rifle for break-ins or any large situation where you feel the need to keep your rifle with you because trouble is in the air.
It’s probably to your consternation. But you are surely my cousin or something. Your choice is fine by me...
And it’s a great training round too!
