All of them are willing to die, and do not expect to live. they do not enter battle expecting to live. For them, that is a reward. Speak to any trooper or Marine who fought ISIS in Iraq.
I was going to post this reference as well.
Considering he wrote it a DECADE ago is amazingly prescient.
Reading that book was, for me, like watching the most realistic and frightening horror movie ever made. It was WAAY too plausible. Plus when you read a book your own mind forms the images in your mind, making it even more ‘realistic.’
For me, it was truly heart-pounding fiction. Your mileage may vary.

Some thoughts/advice/musings of setting realistic expectations and preps is the following:
1. Continue standard prepping
2. Add an emphasis on having a serious, immediately available kinetic defense of life and property ready.
2.1 Always carry and keep long guns and ammo in your vehicle.
2.1.1 BUT!!! DO not maneuver in the open with a long gun during any incident because NO ONE will know if you are a good guy or bad guy.
2.2 Consider discretely violating the gun free zones.
2.2.1 Gun free zones WILL be a characteristic of the primary soft targets selected, so as the rhetoric heats up, just don’t go there.
3. Review bugout or meet-up plans with your group. Tweak it for this specific scenario.
4. Understand and anticipate the devastating psychological impact of an attack that dwarfs 9-11 in scale and scope. I suggest you get a copy (and read it) of Jonathan Hollerman’s “Survival Theory 2” ASAP. Even if *YOU* are strong and faithful, MANY around you will not be.
5. Many EMP scenarios (and similar) offer up 1-3 day time frames before law and civilization collapse. That makes sense because if the power and internet go down, normalcy bias and a lack of information make this a reasonable human reaction. But if terrorism like this happens, the collapse will be IMMEDIATE. Think about that and have a plan, and backups for that plan.
6. Their violence, cruelty, brutality and evil will be beyond what 99.9% of people can even imagine. Troopers and Marines who fought the second battle of Falujah lived this for weeks. *IF* they can talk about it at all, they can tell you what it is like to face the Evil One incarnate, room after room, house after house. Over and over. Are you and yours ready for that?
7. They will lay booby traps and time delay IEDs to kill first responders. Do NOT go where they (terrorists) have been.
8. Lastly as another poster stated - read William Forschten’s “Day of Wrath” which foretold this very sort of scenario. I read it again a few days ago and sadly I think he made it a tad too palatable for the reader. “it” being the nature of ISIS/Hamas terror actions. Still made my heart pound reading it again. PS, there’s no happy ending.

There simply is no surrender and they expect to take as many of us as they can, with them.
They are fighting a holy war, we will FUBAR our response trying to deal with them in our justice system.

Indeed it may not be Hamas here in the US. Doesn’t really matter WHAT they call themselves. What matters is their intent, their capabilities and will, and their order of battle. None of the above is good news.

1787 deaths and 5489 wounded. Depending on scale of attack. If you gave ma access to C4, timers, MANPADS …. I could do more damage in a few hours. I am not sure why the Feds just don’t ask some people how would you do it? Timers on subways, high traffic areas, PoP a couple of man pads the go Rambo on any large groups. Not difficullt to just google events then add from there.
If they do a USA attack imho tactical nukes should be used. Burn them, threaten anyone closely/possibly connected but have a plan on turning USA into fortress USA and we know the ice cream man can’t comprehend that.

The USA population is almost 48 times larger than the Israeli Jewish population.
So for every Israeli killed by HAMAS on October 7, almost 48 Americans would be killed.
This would be the headline:

The Jewish population of Israel is about 7,145,000
A reported 1,400 Israelis were killed by HAMAS muslim terrorists.
1,400 is 0.015954% of 7,145,000If the muslim terrorists killed the same percentage of USA citizens:
The 2023 population of the USA is estimated at 339.996.000
0.015954% of 339,996,000 = 66,618

Yes, Day of Earth is VERY unsettling. I’ve read my copy several times and it scares me every time. It seems the evil is out there just waiting to strike.
