Newsmax is now $50 per year, $5 per month.
I'm nickled and dimed to death. I watch their commercials, and now they want me to pay for the privilege.
No.
Heh.. I had to post on this too...
Newmax is Live on Rumble

“$50 per year.
$5 per year.”
I’ll take the $5 per year one.
(Just kidding. I know you’re upset...I am too.)
I wonder if they’re going to continue to allow streaming on Rumble and YouTube now that they have a pay service.
I watch on Roku and sometimes on Pluto. It’s free. I’m not sure people will pay to watch them.
Not for long. Starting November 1, 2023, Newsmax will no longer be free on streaming.
I won’t miss them.
Mainly watch RAV.
They got a boost after Fox fired Tucker. I think they have perhaps over estimated how much those viewers actually like them. We’ll see.
Do they mean on their apps only?
Or does that including YouTube and rumble where they get ad revenue?
Maybe they want to make a profit.
As of Nov. 1, the popular Newsmax channel will go behind a paywall due to cable agreements — and will no longer be streaming for free on services like Samsung, Roku, Vizio, LG — or on smartphones.
_______
Says nothing about youtube or rumble
I have them in my DirecTV package and have been asking Sirius XM to give them a channel. I prefer them to Fox News.
They already sell ads on the stream so I can’t see them offering other ad-supported streaming services for free.
I currently get Newsmax on LG Channels, and on Pluto, neither of which seem to have DVR capabilities (record, or fast forward/pause/rewind, etc.). I wonder if the subscription package will include that?
The ‘free’ (really ad-supported) streaming money is running out for everyone. Everyone is going back to the old pay-to-play service model from the dawn of the commercial internet. Get used to it.
Bummer. Still they gotta pay the electric bill and advertising brings in only so much. I watched Schmidt and Kelly from time to time but like the rest it gets old.
Most kids graduating from high school the past 10 years could not answer “Which is larger? 50 or 5?”
It’s almost as bad as Paramount+ that was commercial free in the beginning now It’s full of commercials. Also they say they are streaming all of the cbs games on Sunday but we got only one that was on regular tv.
Streaming is not worth the money any more.
