Yes, they are. Regardless of whether it's lack of will, funding or simple secrecy preventing public knowledge, I assure you that even autonomous drones (and their operators) have their days numbered.
For now, it sure sounds like rationale for a juicy budget infusion to combat the 'drone threat', doesn't it? /s
