You’re absolutely right on the definitions, but that distinction is lost on the general public. It’s like with the priests who abused, 95% weren’t actually pedophiles. Most were ephebophiles, engaged in sex acts (mostly homo) with post-pubescent teens
Rodgers was a regular on a pod cast that was bought so it had value. He is not on anymore because of what he said. He is still a quarterback, but now he doesn’t have this forum to state an unfiltered opinion. I never said he lost his job, but the places he has available to state an unfiltered opinion is smaller. Cancel culture is slowly reducing these opportunities.
Cancel culture is about ending folks careers not podcasts. Who got the benefit of him being on…. Him or them. If anything they cancelled themselves. When the Jets fire him or he loses all those millions in endorsement let me know.

Its fine to have different definitions of what cancel culture is but the list is long of folks who cannot get work anymore thanks to their actions or words. My interpretation is being blackballed. This is not whats going on. An overwoke corporate conglomerate didnt want a man to speak about Epstein so they said no to a podcast.
McAfee needs Rodgers more than Rodgers need this podcast. If facebook suspends your account but X , insta , etc do not you havent really been cancelled. Youve been censored.
If McAfee kept Rodgers on or expressed Rodger’s opinion, he would be fired. They don’t want that opinion spoken. They don’t want more people to accept this idea or belief. They want to ban it on podcasts, Eventually, they will ban it in private conversations.
He played a couple plays fell down and collected tens of millions for doing absolutely nothing and now he needs to a hike. You can kiss his butt without me
