Anyone voting for DeSantis was nothing but a democrat anyway. They would never have voted for Trump regardless if DeSantis has entered the race.

who the heck worries about feelings in a war? focus on the main issue, and quit thinking it’s all about your feelings.

God doesn’t care about your feelings if you are out of line with Him, He allows pain and hardship til you get back in line.

same with our country, we either all suck it up and do the right thing or we are enabling it’s demise.

Ah newsweek...

Yes, because various supporters bickered in the past year, they won’t vote for their party 10 months from now... because of sour grapes.

Look, this is the same old nonsense every single time. Primaries are hard, people get invested in candidates and most of them end up losing... their supporters are upset because they put emotional support behind their chosen candidate.. then the general election happens, and low and behold, nearly every time, 90% of more of the party voters vote for their parties candidate... happens every single time....

This is just nonsense, and not news, and just the need to fill space.

This pattern has been going on as long as I’ve been alive, and its not going to change.

Historical anecdotal:

Every election, when the primaries are done, people who supported someone who lost vent about sour grapes and how they won’t vote for the party candidate who won if they don’t x or y or whatever...

Then come November, without fail, 90% or more of the party faithful vote for their parties candidate... every single time.

This isn’t news Newsweek... this is just filler.... this pattern has gone on forever.

Are there always a few sour grapes? Of course, and have their been times when lousy candidates have been chose and turnout goes down? Of course, but this wasn’t some contested close primary... that went on to the bitter end... with only a few months for everyone to get consolidated.

I mean we literally aren’t even a week past the first official votes... and it is very likely to be over by tomorrow night, and at the latest, 2 weeks from then when SC votes...So the idea that the party isn’t going to rally around the candidate over the next 9 months is just nonsense.

The GOP and independent right wing leaners, who voted Biden last time out of their TDS, have for the most part learned their lesson.

The only chance the Democrats have, honestly is someone other than Biden, and I have stated already I will be beyond shocked if come election day Biden is actually on the ballot. My expectation is prop him up through the convention to have him accept the nomination... and then replace him.. because once he’s formally accepted the nomination and drops out they can simply name anyone without a single vote being cast by anyone for who their nominee will be.

We shall see, but I don’t think for one second it was a coincidence the DNC changed their rules in 2022 to allow this.

Cruz supporters did the same thing. They still want to have relevancy. It’s par for the course.

Totally normal.

I guess Newsweek is reduced to making news out of tweets, or whatever they call them now.

Exes?

I am a DeSantis supporter who doesn’t like Trump.

I think that the best thing that Trump has going for him is that he is running against the Democrats. I will probably plug my nose and vote for Trump. I just worry so much about America’s future if we have any more eras like 2021-2022 of so much Dem corruption & incompetence.

Just look at the big cities in America as exhibit A. And look at California. The Dems have been a disaster. That is where Trump should focus. And if he does win then he should focus on really draining the swamp. He blew it last time.

The personal grudge, if effective, would bring the Democrat State down on themselves as well as on those impolite Trump supporters.

Youā€™re not going to gaslight me on COVID, perhaps the most expensive and destructive domestic policy disaster in the nationā€™s history. And it wasnā€™t DeSantis behind it. It was Trump. I watched it unfold with my own eyes. And just because now nobody will ever be held accountable doesnā€™t mean Iā€™ve forgotten.

You Drew and DeSantis are gas lighting us.

Nobody forced DeSantis to lock down Florida. DeSantis locked down Florida. That is a cold hard fact.

And as I said, DeSantis prevented people like me from traveling to Florida to see my relatives.

"It would be nice if Trump would take accountability for his disastrous handling of COVID that drove many of us to DeSantis in the first place.

Apologize profusely, admit he got it dead wrong, and reassure America that he will never partake in anything so destructive again."

You should be bloc-banned along with bEagle (ZOT) for even attempting to blame President Trump for Greasy's shortcomings.

We wouldn't even be having this conversation if President Trump hadn't picked up Meatball by his marinara and thrown him over the finish line against a down-low homo meth addict.

Coronavirus Updates, April 1, 2020

Florida Governor Orders Statewide Lockdown

"Florida has now joined the list of states that are ordering residents to remain in their homes for all but essential activities to help stop the spread of the coronavirus.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis made the announcement at an afternoon briefing. It was just a few hours after he spoke to President Trump. DeSantis said he's issuing an executive order that will direct "all Floridians to limit movements and personal interactions outside the home to only those necessary to obtain or provide essential services or essential activities."

With this order, Florida is joining more than 30 other states, Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico in ordering a lockdown. In total, the orders affect more than 85% of the U.S. population. DeSantis said the order will go into effect in Florida on Thursday at midnight.

"At this point, even though there are a lot of places in Florida with very low infection rates, it makes sense to make this move now," said DeSantis."

"I support Trump but if necessary I will vote for DeSantis and, God forbid, even Nikki Haley."

If Haley, a WEF Klaus Schwab Young Global Leader graduate. should be the Republican Presidential nominee, I'll vote the Libertarian ticket.

A fish rots from the head, and Trump supporters modeled their obnoxious behavior on the obnoxious behavior of their candidate.

Now that Trump has decided to be nice, maybe his devoted followers will pay attention and begin to do the same. We can always hope.
