Probably true...there are some really stupid people out there.
Nature abhors a vacuum. Any retailer selling product below market value is going to attract/invite opportunists.
I knew a guy that ordered a few new Harley’s in the hay day and resold them without ever taking delivery of the bike.
That insider advantage is reserved for the upper echelons, not the peons.
They can get hired right away with Boeing.
The name goes back quite a few years.
Thanks for the info; I didn’t know that!
If I knew how, I’d post a picture of my Stanley thermos that I started using in 1977. Most of the paint is worn off and it has small dents all over from rolling around in work trucks. It’s from before they started putting handles and labels on them. Had to replace the cup and stopper in the late 80s. I don’t use it all that much now, but it works as well as ever.
I use the Thermos Stainless King Vacuum Insulated Stainless Steel Mug, 16oz, Matte Army Green which does not leak even when turned over. Best travel mug I have ever had. Tours in AFG, IRQ and Africa and it is still going. The paint job is a little rough though, has taken quite a beating.

Sorry about the source but seems to be the best explanation,
I bought a no brand stainless steel cup at Walmart for $2.00 on clearance. I have some others including a Yeti. They are no better or worse.
The Yeti I got for free. I work for a building products manufacturer and was at a large trade show. Yeti was there and the rep came over and asked for some of our product to do a repair on his house in exchange for a Yeti cup.
Sure. A large part of my job is giving away samples and free stuff is a little benefit of trade shows.
You know all the candy and beef jerky at hardware stores? The shows have several aisles of that stuff. I load up my road food stash.
Either you have honor, or you don’t.
If you’re honor is situational, then I’d argue you don’t.
Target later:
We may have to close early because we can’t get employees
Nice!!!!! I used to love those trade shows!!
The Cabbage Patch Doll of cups
I had the opposite experience with my last employer before retired. The called me in because I wasn’t taking enough time off. They didn’t threaten to fire me, but they told me I had to take a lot more vacation days.
Thank you.
