I fully understand the “we don’t want amnesty; we want deportation” movement. However, when there are “Sanctuary Cities, and Sanctuary States” are there really enough federal agents who can find, arrest and deport all those that should be deported?
The first step needs to be to change the ways those Sanctuary Cities operate. Luckily, many of them are drowning under the weight of supplying services to illegal immigrants. Once those Sanctuary cities have been turned, then we can talk about increasing deportations.
The second step is to fix our education system so that US citizens and the product of our school system have employable skills when they graduate from high school. Right now most don’t have either basic math/science/computer skills required for employment in the real world.
I also think that allowing skilled and/or hard working people with marketable skills into this country is the best way to solve our demographic financial problem with the Social Security system.
I want EVERYONE in ‘Congress’ - with a few minor exceptions - FIRED, and then forced to leave their ill-gotten gains at the door of the Treasury to PAY US BACK, and then they, too, be DEPORTED!
Meh. It’ll never happen, but it’s a terrific fantasy! :)
It’d be nice, though.
Fixed it for 'em.
How else are you supposed to repel an invasion?
p
Well obviously that should happen - but governors don’t make laws.
Derek Hunter gets it. It's time to stop evil democrats, their cartel buddies and their butt boys in the press.
30 days to self deport no questions asked. after that, the roundups begin. Anyone who does self-deports may be allowed to return under a strict guest worker program. Anyone subject to roundup stands no change of ever returning to America. Ever.
Any children born here to guest workers remain citizens of their home country. There will be a path to naturalization which includes learning english and full assimilation. The path will be long and difficult.
