How can you HAVE any pudding if you don’t eat your meat?

Probably boiled meat if I have any idea of how meat is prepared in merry old England.

This guy is the best, he just sits there munching on his steak, while he shows these crazy Vegans going off on why meat is bad.

“I don’t think it’s ridiculous. A lot of food-related disorders, like severe obesity, bulimia nervosa, etc., probably have psychological components. Therapy would naturally involve psychology as well as nutrition.”

I hadn’t considered that. From her bio:

Georgia Ede, MD, is a Harvard-trained psychiatrist specializing in nutrition science and brain metabolism. Her 25 years of clinical experience include 12 years as a college psychiatrist and nutrition consultant at Smith College and Harvard University Health Services, where she was the first to offer students nutrition-based approaches as an alternative to psychiatric medications. Dr. Ede speaks internationally about dietary approaches to psychiatric disorders. She co-authored the first inpatient study of the ketogenic diet for treatment-resistant mental illnesses, developed the first medically accredited course in ketogenic diets for mental health practitioners, and was honored to be named a recipient of the Baszucki Brain Research Fund’s first annual Metabolic Mind Award. She is also the author of “Change Your Diet, Change Your Mind.”

I remember that Central Bus Station. My hotel was nearby, and I would walk to the Station and take a bus to the Jaffa Gate. I can see it in my mind as you describe it.

I had amba on a “Mixed Grill” plate in an Israeli restaurant that I used to frequent in Boca Raton FL. It was near one of my student’s homes, so I ate there at least once a week.

I have yet to find an Israeli Restaurant in Boston. Lots of Jewish Delis though!

Tofu and soy are ok, in moderation. But you would have to tie me down and use a nasogastric tube to get me to ingest bugs. Except for certain species of grasshoppers, they are not kosher. And as for those grasshoppers, they’re still bugs and still gross and disgusting.

Harvard has become a joke overall. But from what I hear, their medical program is high quality.

This writer gives me hope.

I think I know the restaurant in Boca. The owner’s family now lives in Samaria, and he commutes between Florida and Israel.

Showing your age.
For those that don’t know, Lyric is from “the Wall” by Pink Floyd.

I became aware of this when I read Gary Taube’s book “Why We Get Fat: And What to do about it”. This was the condensed version of his prior book “Good Calories, Bad Calories” which had a great deal of science in it which I also read.

The books are also an interesting survey of the history of diets and their health impacts. There’s also a bad guy in all this, Ancel Keys, the Fauci of nutritional science and the FDA. Key’s recommendations on diet were forced on the FDA to embrace the high-carbohydrate diet through the usual dishonest means these sociopath bureaucrats always resort to.

Ancel Keys was the original Fauci.

OK...I correct myself. There are plenty of places in Boston that serve “Mediterranean” and “Middle Eastern” Food, but none are called “Israeli” Restaurants.

That could be that Boston is too close to Harvahd.

I sense a disturbance in the Force, and it's a good disturbance. Opinions are moving against the ‘March of the Maniacal Left’ on many fronts simultaneously.
