Had my whole home theater system set up with Harmony and Alexa. It was great. I could even do things by voice that weren’t on device menus.
Then we got a new Samsung not supported by Harmony. Harmony promised updates but the pulled out of the market.

If you want to stream you will need a smart TV or connect using a smart device.
I’m happy with the size of the screen on my phone. Never watch anything bigger.

I tore apart a Samsung that was bottom lit. The very strong metal “backing” had stamped grooves to distribute the backlight. Between the backlight and LEDs were three thin panels of different types to further diffuse the light.

Most is 720 or 1080i but looks great upscaled to 4k. There is some 8k videos on the internet and now smart phone cameras can vidio 8k.
Most of the TV 4k, like Netflix, is degraded 4k and not much better than upscaled 1080.

A new 3.0 is being implemented but stations still have to broadcast in 1.1 for several more years. Your problem lies elsewhere.

If you forget to close the site will close for you. Not so years ago. If you opened a font and didn’t close it, all subsequent posts would use your font till somebody got around to closing it.

Costco sent us a full refund for a four to TV under warranty. We bought a similar model but with better specs for less and pocketed the difference.

You have no idea, for example, how to solve the problem of “Microsoft.Data.SqlClient not supported on this platform” during the deploy of a WinForms application using .NET 2022. I, on the other hand, solved the issue. You needed to update the Nuget packages, removing System.Data.SqlClient; making the publish a self-contained executable, and instead of using the standard Microsoft installer, use Inno Installer (add as an extension) and have it point to the Release directory the publish command points to.
That is because you are 77 years and I am much younger.
It appears my 15 year old antenna, albeit aluminum mostly, is bawking at being moved. Many of the riveted connections with bars interconnecting maybe adding to the intermittency.
It acts differently at times at different frequencies. The digital realm makes true frequency vs digital assignment, challenging.
I can get 203 MHz and yet 197 not. Used to be nice with analog as a little snow here and little there, no problemo.
Digital is make or break, no middle ground. All towers are a good 40 miles from me.

Well then, I will need to upgrade my TV. I want it to be visible to astronauts in the ISS.
It pays to get an extended warranty.
Things just don’t last anymore. I’d say we’re well ahead on the price of the extended warranties vs what it would’ve cost without the warranties.
We kept the Samsung. The shadow in the center of the screen is also tolerable, but we had to act because the warranty was running out. Not sure what we’ll do with it.
The LG replacement had an issue. It wouldn’t “find” the Wi-Fi network, so it wouldn’t update. Didn’t matter after I hooked up a WiFi extender thru an HDMI port. Did updates fine. A little research on YouTube, I discovered there’s a ribbon cable inside that gets folded over & crimped during manufacturing. I’ve been too lazy to take the TV off the wall and pop the back cover to straighten it out.
Never ever done that and haven't been burned yet....

They sell you the extended warranty because they pay out less than they take in.
They are the experts. They know that the buyers lose money on warranties.
