Facebook has it’s uses. In the last century, we had a thing called Usenet. It was kind of the wild west of electronic communication. I regularly read posts from motorcycle riders from the entire world. The online friendships expanded to IRL (in real life) meetups and lifelong friendships. We have our own private group on Facebook and now can post videos and graphics in our communications and we still meet in real life. Facebook has been great for us. We stay away from most politics. We only have a few suspensions from time to time.
X, formerly known as Twitter, put me in timeout for a week for some innocuous statement. This was post-Leon Musk purchase. I was devastated....LOL.
Exactly. And the idea to run and hide from FB and not point out for the world to see what they are doing is how these people win.
It has to be pointed out.
I saw a similar video with Taylor Swift promoting some cookware products.
It wasn't even a particularly good deep fake. Amazing, people fall for this.
I tried to post three words last Christmas. All I said was “Happy Christmas Everyone” and FB kept blocking it until I took out the word “Everyone.”
So if FB can do it pretty soon all can do it but I guess you can’t see that.
