To be fair, I would NOT want to return to the days where husbands belittle and even strike your wife with impunity. Indeed, I’ve been in some very ”trad” crowds and, honest, the women look haggard with 4+ kids in tow, and the guys look well-rested and snap their fingers and their wives move.
At the same time, a sniveling guy with tire tracks on his back is antithetical to civilization.
In the Gospels, husbands are commanded to “love your wives, as Christ also loved the church, and delivered himself up for it.” Guys who do that are NOT what this crowd wants, because Jesus flipped over tables when righteousness demanded it.
One of the few benefits of social media is young guys and gals can get a well-documented picture of the prospective mate they just met. The hot/crazy matrix works for BOTH sexes.
We may wind up in a heavily-siloed nation where trads are over here and progs are over there. I’d prefer for that to NOT be the case. Time will tell.

Numerous studies have shown this. In fact, nearly 70 percent of divorces are initiated by women.
The problem in American society is that we encourage women to divorce their husbands when they're unhappy.
Of course, it has nothing to do with your situation. Each situation is different.
But there's not much incentive for a young man to get married unless he's wealthy and/or famous. Even there, it's a gamble.
Even Tom Brady and Kevin Costner got screwed over by their wives.
Still better than paying alimony.
