This is a little off topic but I couldn’t help but comment on O’s appearance lately. Just saw a photo of him on FoxNews website and he looks very withdrawn and sickly, imo. I have never seen a President looks so worn.

“It’s also possible she’s playing the role of political offensive linesman... opening up a big hole that the real ball-carrier can sprint through for the easy touchdown.”

Let’s hope.

You are a coward, and you are no conservative.

A conservative is the front runner for the 2012 nomination by a comfortable margin, and you want her to drop out and not run for President, bizarre, and unheard of in conservative history.

“Why would you compare a Governor that was the most popular Governor in America, and that has 18 successful years in politics, and elected office, and that was the GOP’s first female Vice Presidential candidate, with Christine O’Donnell, someone that has never held elective office of any kind? You are being absurd.”

If you’d rather, you can compare her to Sharron Angle, who had lots of political experience, but couldn’t win either. Or, what about Joe Miller, who had Palin’s endorsement in her home state, where she used to be the most popular governor, but now could not even fend off a write-in challenger. Freepers aren’t paying enough attention to what just happened in Alaska, IMHO.

“True, she had more executive experience than Obama, but he comes across as better educated, even if he’s not.”

This speaks volumes of your ability to asses.

“My law partners and I are extremely conservative. We’ve been in the trenches on important conservative issues. We think Palin is a good woman, whose heart is in the right place. But we cringe when we hear Palin talk, and greatly fear that if she is the nominee, the Republican party will have thrown away an incredibly good opportunity to take the White House.”

I realize that it’s not chic to support a real conservative at the country club cocktail hour.

Do you admire the Establishment crony Mikulski?

Oh, please. We don’t belong to country clubs, and we don’t drink. Our socializing takes place with our families and at church, where conservatism is all the rage.

I’d stack up my conservative bona fides against anyone on this forum. I’ve put in years working on conservative causes, sometimes full-time.

Why do you need to get so personal, anyway?

You are no conservative, you are a Romneybot.

The Miller endorsement winning the GOP primary showed her power, Miller distancing himself from Palin, and then the Senate endorsing Murkowski let the incumbent Republican Senator keep her seat.

I notice that you left off city council and lied about her only being Governor for 24 months, you may want to check that figure.

Palin is the frontrunner for the nomination, and you non-conservatives are frantic over that, as a Romney follower you want the conservative front runner to leave the race, to make room for Mitt.

The conservatism at freerepublic is just too ugly and dark for you anyway.

See, if you don’t toe the Palin uber alles line then you must be a coward...there can be no other reason.

I don’t “admire” Murkowski (Mikulski is from Maryland) at all. I think she is personally unpleasant and politically horrible and liberal. I think that the nepotistic appointment that got her a seat on the Senate is disgusting.

What I am saying is that we should be alarmed that Sarah could not engineer a victory for her candidate in her home state, against a write-in candidacy, which almost never succeeds.

Here you were pimping for Mitt on another thread, you don't sound very conservative.

If I didn’t love my country so much, the ugliness at FR would drive me away from conservatism altogether. This place really does put the dark side of conservatism on display for all to see.

You have just found yourself in the alternate reality of the freepers for Palin fan club. No matter which way you turn you will step on a cow patty of ridicule.

You are in no position to judge my conservative credentials. I’d be willing to bet I have sacrificed more for conservative causes, in both time and money, than you. There are some people on FR who confirm every ugly and dark stereotype about conservatives. You are right about that.

You do not have to defend or explain....it’s akin to talking politics with the Hari Krisnas at the airport.

I came to the conclusion during the last go-around that Mitt was the best one left standing who had a reasonable chance of winning. A lot of very good, very smart, conservatives supported him. Most of the editors at National Review, for instance. I don’t know if I would support him again. It depends on who else is running.

Yeah...I know...it's depressing. We have a number of potential candidates, good conservatives, that don't have to carry the baggage that Palin has been stuck with. We are in the era of bandwagon politics and there are far too many Freepers who are quite happy to jump on.

Angle has never been a Governor nor a vice presidential candidate, and that “write in” candidate that you keep mentioning was the incumbent GOP Senator, that had been basically endorsed by the GOP establishment for her write in campaign, running against someone that had never been in politics, and it was a near death experience for her.

What is revealing is your take on the Alaska race, as a non conservative Romneybot, you keep giving the impression of someone that was pleased that the Senator survived the challenge.

Romney as Pres. and Christie as VP. That would be a great team.
