You are a coward, and you are no conservative.

You sir are an IDIOT!

I have been a conservative since my first vote. You on the other hand can only take cheap shots at people who have different opinions.

The Daily News must be the New York equivalent of a N. Korean newspaper. Ugly poll.

FREEP THIS POLL ***PING!*** FRmail me if you want to be added or removed from the Fearless Poll-Freeping Freepers Ping list. And be sure to ping me to any polls that need Freepin', if I miss them. (looks like a medium volume list) (gordongekko909, founder of the pinglist, stays on the list until his ghost signs up for the list)

Since when do conservatives ask the conservative front runner for the presidential nomination to drop out and move aside? Can you name the times in history when we have been this well positioned to win the nomination, and when we asked the conservative to drop out?

I was rooting for Miller until the end. I am sick that he lost, both because of his substance vis a vis Murkowski, and because of what it says about Palin’s ability to influence an election in her home state, against an unappealing candidate like Murkowski.

And the GOP did not “endorse” her. They merely said they would not strip her of her chairmanships. That was probably a wise decision. They would want her to caucus with them, and not with the Democrats.

You ought to try to argue on the merits, and quit throwing ad hominem insults at me or anyone else who disagrees with you.

I’ve been there, done that and was called all sorts of things. The ones who don’t see Palin as “the Savior of the conservative cause” are evil and should be banned. The last time I expressed my opinion about Palin I was asked to never comment about her again and called a troll.

So watch out, the names they will be flyin’.

LOL, you mean you trying to knock off the conservative frontrunner for the presidential nomination? Yeah, I will challenge that left wing type of activism.

Oh yes, please nominate an “electable” like McCRomHuckPawlDanNewtwhatever. He will be the LAST nominee of the GOP and 0bambi will beat him worse than Reagan beat Mondale. And the RINOs will be at fault, not me.

Christine O’Donnell didn’t win because the RINOs turned on her and did everything they could to insure her defeat. No more “hold your nose and vote for the Party’s candidate”. If you are so convinced that Governor Palin can’t win, even if we all work our butts off, then join the RATs.

uh hu...and your pragmatist instincts tell you to support?

Still working on that. I could support Mitch Daniels...possibly Haley Barbour or Mike Pence. Pawlenty might be viable, but I don't know enough about him yet. If Palin wins the nomination I will support her...I'm just concerned that she may not be electible, especially if Obama is replaced with Hillary.

I’m not sure about Romney at this point. Obamacare is going to be a big issue, and Romney’s support for Romneycare is probably enough to sink him.

Christie is exciting, at least so far as we know. We don’t know anything about his positions on social issues, which are important to me. But on the spending issues, he is dynamite.

As a Romneybot you are determined to block the current GOP primary frontrunner, who is also the biggest conservative leader in the nation and a leader that has just helped lead us to a historical mid term success.

Your anti-conservative efforts will be challenged here at freerepublic.

What about Angle? What about Joe Miller? You can’t simply write off everyone who thinks that Palin is unelectable. She has some big negatives.

If you’d rather, you can compare her to Sharron Angle, who had lots of political experience, but couldn’t win either.

Or to Romney who had lots of money, political experience, and a following of lock-step fans...but he couldn't win either.

What caused Mitt's defeat? Projects look at key factors

So in your opinion, Palin is the ONLY conservative that might be running? That is absurd.

That's EXACTLY what they said about Reagan.

Too bad he didn't get elected.

No, it’s a Pavlovian response to all the personal crap she’s been subjected to. I, for one, do not take any pleasure in seeing a woman attacked in such a personal way. Even her children have been attacked in vicious slanderous ways. Would you want your mom, wife, sister or daughter treated the way Governor Palin has been treated?

Even SWMNBN was attacked for her politics, not her personal life.
