I’ve seen the posts that allude to Mormonism being another “Christian” religion. They never mention that they are not monotheistic. That is a real deal breaker(among many).
Religious reasons aside...
...Romney is a RINO ObamaCare loving POS that you can’t trust.
They are, for the most part, fine people and good neighbors. They live their family lives and community lives better than a lot of Americans do, and I respect that. I'm indifferent to their religious beliefs, they are no threat to my own.
But I've studied those beliefs a good deal - more than most Americans. I don't think the somewhat obscure, almost hidden, nature of those beliefs will survive a Romney nomination.
Before the convention, the MSM line will be "any GOP objections to Romney are vile religious hatred, and if Palin (or whoever) wins instead, next stop Auschwitz".
As soon as he is nominated, the MSM will switch to magic spectacles, temple garments, universal apostasy, Moron(i), and all the rest. A broad-minded MSM may approve of the plural wives and decry the repression those progressive LDS pioneers experienced in hate-filled Christian America.
Anyway, by the time the MSM is done with Willard and his religion, he won't be able to be elected dogcatcher.
