Let’s make it easy for Marco to keep his word. Lets not elect his amnesty loving rear end!

Did you ask the same question to Senators Cruz & Paul?
Marco simply copied what those 2 declared last week.

If it a stupid promise, then both Rand Paul & Ted Cruz are also stupid because they announced the same tax promise last week.

It’s just stupid all around then! They can say what they want. All it takes is a democrat majority and some spineless republicants and BAM! Veto override at a minimum.

Ask that question to Rand Paul & Ted Cruz because they are both ALSO for amnesty to overwhelming majority of illegals by not deporting them.

You make a valid point. Any law can be vetoed or changed.
However I would prefer to have a president who has declared he is against raising taxes versus every democrat who live raising taxes. Rand Paul, Ted Cruz declared no new taxes last week. Marco was not going to sit idle and declare the same pledge.

Yes, more competition for Jeb Bush can’t hurt.

Well then I just lost some respect for Ted and Rand.

Don't they take a peek at FR every once in a while?

Haven't they learned about the utter scumbaggieness of Grover Norquist?

Why would they want to throw their lot in with him?

I guess everyone is a bit tone deaf.

Rubio recently unveiled his income tax reform plan which called for two tax brackets - 15% and 35%. The 35% rate would kick in at $75,000 so he’s already talking about raising taxes on anyone making between $75,000 and $405,000. Either Rubio is stupid or he’s lying through his teeth.

35 percent at 75k!!!??? that is nothing in NY. I know it is a lot in other places but me and my girl’s combined over 100k can barely find a place to buy under 500K and our skills are useless outside of ny and (even worse) LA!!!

If that is true, indeed it is a tax increase for AGI > $73,800
(current rates for married filing jointly). But must also take into account deductions and exemptions proposed. All that affects taxes also.

Re: your tagline, in 1984. the last time the GOP ran an extremist Reagan won 49 not 44 states. Is that not true? In 1980 and 1984, Ronaldus Maximus won 93 out of a possible 100 states.

Rubio's website has the following tax tables.
For Joint filers:

$0 to $75,000 15%
75,001 to $150,000 15%
$150,001 and higher 25%

Compare that with current IRS tax rates:
$0 to $18,150 10%
$18,150 to $73,800 15%
$73,800 to $148,850 25%
$148,850 to $226,850 28%
$226,850 to $405,100 33%
$405,100 to $457,600 35%
over $457,000 39.6%

Comparing the current tax rates with Rubio proposal,
Rubio's proposal has tax cuts -or- no tax increase
for every joint return with AGI over $18,150

He’ll have to do a lot better than that. Ted Cruz says he’ll abolish the IRS.

President can’t do anything to IRS unless congress goes along and passes the bill. I am sure you are conversant with how our system works! Only bills passed by congress and signed by the president become permanent law. Executive orders can be voided by the new president on 1st day in office.

Yes I’m conversant in Civics 101 thanks. I’m also aware of the long term consequences of executive actions and the potential knock on effects even if rescinded. Some here believe an executive order once rescinded the ramifications become nullified, I’m not of that camp. Oh and maybe you should edify Obola on that whole president, congress thing, K.
