Because Trump knows it all, all you have to do is listen to him he’ll tell you twenty times.

Yep, Cruz’s come from behind senate campaign is something to be studied. And the first rule to follow is if you’re not a citizen of the country in which you’re running, keep it to yourself.

The “rules” were set up for deceit and parry power over the will of the people. If you get the votes you should get the corresponding delegates period. It shouldn’t require ignoring the peoples sacred vote for procedure, but that’s the insane corrupt Republican party that Cruz fans seem so proud of. Trump should have just went third party to begin with there is no reforming the GOP

Is Ted Cruz a natural-born citizen eligible to serve as president? [Yes! And I support him! JimRob]

I have read several reports such as this one regarding the disorganization and lack of detail in Mr. Trump’s campaign. In the real world of presidential politics, understanding the rules and doing the state and district level organizational work is equally as important as the marketing and negative branding where he has demonstrated such skill.

One other thought: I first started lurking on Free Republic during the first term Clinton scandals. There was always the confident prediction that scandal would bring him down. He won re-election without any difficulty. Then came Obama and the same confident predictions that information to prove his lack of eligibility was just waiting to be released and that would bring him down. (I think even Mr. Trump jumped on that bandwagon.) Despite all the big talk and confident predictions, he was re-elected without any problem. Now, in this nomination process and prospectively for the general election, we see hopes and dreams being attached to the next big scandal. You sometimes have to question whether we really want to win the presidency or just settle accumulated grievances.

There are many parallels between Rauner and Trump, yet many Rauner supporters seem not to back Trump. Both are billionaire businessmen, both were outsiders with close ties to Democrats, both seem to upset both Democrats and Republicans.

If the Illinois delegates were put in place by the voters, what additional "leadership" do they need, other than fulfilling the job they were elected to do at the convention?

If they are wavering, looking over their shoulder to see what The Ill-Annoy Uni-Party Combine tells them to do (i.e. change their vote to Cruz, Kasich or Ryan), then they have no collective backbone.

Steal? How? By following the rules? Then it isn’t stealing. It means The Donald is getting outsmarted.

Deceitful? Convincing people to vote for you over your opponents? That’s what elections are.

Encouraging delegates to ignore the will of the voters? Yes, that's deceitful. It's what's been happening with the political establishment for some time. So if Ted Cruz is willing to do this, well, he's just more of the same of what we already have in Washington.

No experience campaigning. Not only did Cruz run an almost miraculous come-from-behind Senate race that’ll be studied for a hundred years, he has been researching this stuff since he was 12.

Well, Trump also has no legislative or executive branch experience. But one of his selling points is that he's supposedly going to hire the best, smartest people to give him advice and help him be an effective President.

So why should we believe he's capable of the much more complicated task of hiring an entire government if he can't even hire smart, competent people for his campaign?

This isn't about stealing delegates. This is about Trump not having an even rotely effective organization, and his delegates begging for help.

Whose fault is it that Trump hasn't hired a competent, professional campaign organization to take care of these things?

That’s the $64,000 question, isn’t it? How much of all this is a Potemkin village?

Good question. I think the whole Democrat superdelegate issue is slimy, and I'd be sympathetic to truly underhanded stealing of delegates.

But this is Trump's own people saying that he has failed to put together any kind of an organization. That's just negligence/incompetence.

“The video is coming this week and there is apparently more.”

I’ve been hearing a lot of people saying that the last couple days. Do you have a link, or source? I’m not saying you’re wrong. I just would like to know what it’s based on.

That’s about the video. This apparently has been known for some time. Not sure what else is coming. We’ll have to watch and see.

Sorry he’s being outsmarted.

Disagree. Each delegate that casts their ballot counter to the primary voters that they represent, is disenfranchising those voters.

You call it smart, I call it dishonest.

Let's say Ted Cruz wins the presidency in November, but the electoral college votes for someone else to be president in December, would you still call that smart?

With all the slime being thrown at Sen Cruz he must really be beating Trump at organizing and recruiting future supporters at the convention. Trump’s only weapon is to throw dirt and to lie about his opponent. Trump can’t attack on substance because he really hasn’t thought through what he believes on any given topic.
