I'm not surprised his approval remained stable. It was not a bad week for Trump. The MSM hoped it was a bad week. The public is not being swayed by the drive-bys.

Until Trump supporters turn on Trump...which is still FAR from happening, he’s safe in office.
No Senate Republican is about to throw away his career voting to remove Trump (other than maybe a RINO or two, if even that).

The only thing the deep state is accomplishing is motivating Trump Supporters to go to the polls.
Going to be hard for the Dems to motivate their members to go vote against Trump. More of them will either vote for Trump or just stay home.

But the stability in Trump's approval rating also comes as more than half of voters say he has not been honest and truthful regarding the ongoing investigation by special counsel Robert Mueller. And fewer than three-in-ten voters are convinced that Trump himself is not implicated in the wrongdoing of the six of his associates who have now either been convicted of crimes or have pleaded guilty....IOW - we're all Deplorables and crooked as hell...

No one here thinks Cohen and Manafort were only tangentially connected to Trump. It would be absurd to think that. Our claim is that Cohen’s plea was a joke and that Manafort’s charges are unrelated to the Trump campaign despite his later role in the campaign.
And obviously it’s the media’s job to report on these stories. What’s bugging us is the biased perspective and palpable libtard glee in the reporting.
