Isn’t it strange while the Dem house committees are in full coup mode the GOP Senate sits idly by?

Where are the Senate hearings Linda Graham promised us??????????

Have been wondering the same.

He did cut off Maria Bartolomo, the other day, when she asked if the C Eye A were the architects of this, and he interrupted and said “Stay tuned!”

We shall see.

The Senate has no role yet. I suppose Burrito could investigate, but he is deeply compromised (hence, a neverTrumper).

As for impeachment, the Senate can do nothing until there is something to act on.

The Constitution requires a trial. It doesn’t say when. Also, once convened, as SHEETS BYRD showed in 1999, the Senate may vote to simply dismiss. (Byrd lost by 7 votes with Slick in a case where Slick CLEARLY did the crime). So it’s not at all out of the realm of possibility that Yertle convenes, holds a dismissal vote (50 + Pence needed) and gets it. I have a dismissal vote around 45 right now.

As for an impeachment conviction, I have 34 solid acquits, 10 or more “squishes” who will acquit once they see the acquittal is assured, and 2-3 convict no matter what the evidence is (Minion, Burrito, maybe Lee). Some of the pinatas that Freepers like to bash are, I think, acquits including Collins, Rubio, Tillis, Ernst, and Scott. These people face reelection, and while they can screw conservatives on some issues (esp. judges and/or abortion) NONE of them can fail to back a GOP president and survive. My court guy, Zen Master, thinks all but Minion are sure acquits, and thinks even Minion might have to acquit.

It’s how the uni-party works for the last 60 years.

They don’t call it the DC Uniparty for nothing.

Trump represents the American people.

The DC Uniparty is above all that.

The Senate is only involved in the Trial whether to Convict or not.. Need 2/3 vote I believe to convict. They will never achieve that.. Might get 50 votes.. I’m hoping the house won’t have the votes to impeach...
