Who holds positions of prominence? Not the teachers driving their battered junkers of cars. If you mean the View people, then yes they have been promoted to positions well beyond their competence. But that's nothing new under the sun. I've been reading about the British government under George III. Most MPs were simply born to the "right" families and could not conceive of the American "rabble" defeating the redcoats. We all know how that turned out.
Judging all women by the View makes about as much sense as judging all men by the 1776 British government.
