"Any chance we can persuade J. C. Watts to run for Nickles seat?" Great idea! I think Don Nickles is wonderful and hate to see him leave. J.C. would be an awesome Senator. I wonder if he would consider it?

Am really impressed with the Freshman Senators like Graham, Coleman, Chambliss, and Cornyn... Ditto. Also continue to be very impressed with Santorum from Pennsylvania. He was my pick for Majority Leader when Frist was selected, and I still think he would have been a better choice.
Coleman, who made a marginal impression on me during election '02, has turned out to be a giant-in-the-making.

I agree with you! Santorum would have been a much better choice IMO.
As for Coleman, I shared your opinion. Thought it was great that he was elected but it was because he was another Republican on our side. I have gone from lukewarm to very impressed. Have heard him speak numerous times on the floor of the Senate and all I can say is that Minnesotans should be proud to have elected him to the Senate. I love this Freshman class!
I HATE Schumer. Had Fox News on and guess who they picked to show first! UGH!!!!
