Who can still possibly believe the US defeated communism after they here about this bill?
To: .cnI redruM
I still haven't figured out why so many Democrats are against it.

I was told that we needed to vote for Republicans so that they could make changes.
Once again, they have bent me over and made me squeel.
I want to thank all the good little sheeple pubbies that have, and will continue to, preach the glory of the Republican party. Not being satiated with my brown-eye, they are now going after my children.
All of you friggin socialists/republicans can kiss my keister.

Only the impending nomination of Harold Nikita Taxyernutzoff Dean makes me stay GOP. I feel like buying a Cthulu in 2004 sticker. After all, he's the lesser of 3 evils.

Ramesh is such a phony; his article lists one "neoconervative establishment", politically, a Third Way Socialist, in Gingrich who supports the bill but nobody else.
There is no divide here. Socialists support the bill, conservatives and libertarians do not.

I have long since lost my ability to vote for a socialist under any circumstances. Republicans are proudly, even militantly, in that camp. Support their candidate, or they will turn on you like a childish Democrat.

W will lose my vote if this behemoth passes. Seniors are the wealthiest segment of the population, and we don't need it b/c 70% of them already have drug coverage elsewhere.

The problem is seniors DO vote. That's what matters to every politician running for reelection next year. And when the AARP wants this bill, its hard to say NO to them, especially when the GOP can pocket the geezer vote and leave the Democratic presidential nominee and hundreds of congressional and Senate Democratic candidates without an issue to run with against the President and a Republican Congress.

I think voter turn out for the Republican Party is going to be pretty light in 2004.

I think voter turn out for the Republican Party is going to be pretty light in 2004. Or is that what you want?

It becomes more difficult to stomach any Republican claiming to be a conservative.
When able, throw-up on a Republican
I never trusted communists, or Democrats. I once trusted, and...God forgive me, even supported Republicans. It is not possible for a Dem to stab me in the back, only a Republican could, and has, done that repeatedly.
Or, is that what you want?

Was I talking to you? My question was specifically for MissAmericanPie. I could care less what you can or can not stomach. And if you think that I'm a Republican, think again.

I don't really care. I don't see a reason to leave my front door on 11-4-2004. And from what I see and hear there are a growing number of people that feel the same as I.
It is a shame? Of course it is, but the shame is not on the people that decide to stay home. If some must attach blame, attach it where it belongs, on the socialist Republican Party.
