Maybe next, nullify The Union Act? Most Scots see themselves as Scots and not Brits.

Might not be such a bad idea, considering the nightmare state Britain's seems to be turning into.

Wallace never received a burial as his body was hung drawn and quartered and the remains burnt and scattered to the four corners of the country.
Well hellsbells, there you go; SCOTLAND is his resting place and monument.
I'm guessing he wasn't wild about the "drawn and quartered" part of his fate but I'll bet the dispersal of his remains to the four corners would have pleased Wallace.

Except that it appears he was scattered over England, not Scotland.

Might not be such a bad idea, considering the nightmare state Britain's seems to be turning into. unfortunately, many of the seperatists are raving socialists. Purge them from the movement and I'm all for it, speaking as an exile of the Jacobite Rebellions. Capitalism is a Scottish invention, after all. Of course, my clan was one of the "bloody dozen" border clans, the Rievers. It's wonderful to find that you come from a long line of horse thieves (sanctified by tradition and religion, so long as it's done between Lamas and Candlemas). Put's a whole new spin on the term "robber barons." ;^>

Britain always to be in a muddle, but when the chips are down they always come through. I am proud of my English heritage.

unfortunately, many of the seperatists are raving socialists.Yes, that was my impression too when I was over there a decade ago. Still, that doesn't mean that most of Scotland is extreme socialist. If Scotland separates, it won't just be the separatists who separate; it'll be their entire society.
One can only hope that there'd be enough of a backlash against the Orwellian state that's in the making over there that an independent Scotland would deliberately start itself off on a somewhat saner path.
