The reliability. Last I heard you get about 100 rounds out of the .50 cal before it jams. The 40mm hurt two guys down in Kuwait when they tried to clear it.
Can't shoot while moving. Moving, shooting and communicating are pretty important tasks. Not being able to do all three at the same time is like not being able to walk and chew gum.
I've got good news and I've got bad news. The good news is, there's a Remote Weapons System for .50 Caliber-type weapons that can probably be used to replace the Kongsberg RWS if its flaws can't be cured. The bad news is, they're not fitted to Strykers, though they are fielded and seem to be very effective.
Oh yes. in its fourth generation, with 40 years of development and field use to work out the bugs.
