"A close family friend who works for the family has told relatives he ate breakfast with Michael Hargon early Saturday morning. Michael Hargon handles financial matters for the man, who lives on property willed to Michael Hargon by his late uncle."Ah, so the recently inherited property was the last place Michael Hargon was seen alive. I recall you posting something yesterday about this uncle having excluded his own son from his will, and that this was being looked at as a possible motive. Any further word on that? Or any info on this "close family friend" who works and lives on the property?

Blood hounds brought in for search.
Uncle's will was changed in January 2004 just before he died
leaving 50 acre farm to Mike Hargon.
Man who worked on farm was the last man
who saw Hargon Saturday morning.
He said Hargon was going to work.
Female cousin will inherit farm if he is not found.

Thank you for all the pings on this story. I've had a bad feeling about this one from the get-go. I'm still hoping for a happy ending.

My gut feeling is that this has something to do with Micheal Hargon's father's murder

If this was indeed an abduction, it would appear that the perpetrator had a very small window of opportunity. Michael Hargon was reportedly 20 miles away at 6:30. The entire family was discovered missing from the home at 7:40, with all family vehicles present. Unless this was well planned in advance, the perpetrator had very little time to conceal evidence, cover tracks, hide the victims, etc. After a full week of investigation, I'd be willing to bet that LE knows a lot more about what happened than they're making public.

Thanks WKB. I'm beginning to wonder if LE is going around in circles as they chase some of these clues. This is the first I've heard about a cousin and her possible motive.

This is a strange case. Apparently there were shots fired there is blood, the three people are missing and presumed to be the victims of foul play. Nothing on motive. Might have been a hit.
I don't see it as a hit. Why would a hitman worry about disposing of the bodies? I could see it as one or more of the parties wanting to disappear and what easier way to disappear than to be presumed dead? I would be looking for factors which would cause one or all of the people to want to disappear.

This is the first I've heard about a cousin and her possible motive.
Actually it is her brother(I think) who is cut out of the will completely that has the alleged motive.
I heard this rumor early on but it is just beginning to make the news.

Wonder if any of the possible suspects are volunteer fire fighters.
