My mistake. I was listening to his radio program when a reporter from ABC related the story on the air.

CNN has played the clip.

Which Pubbie will resign due to this?????
Historically, Pubbies end up resigning when Dems screw up and get caught.

this seems to confirm my hunch that Kerry has let himself get caught up in a nasty contest with Howard Dean on who can vent the most anger at Bush - and he would be slow to re-adjust his tone now that he has wrapped up the nomination. I think it hurts him - makes him look un-Presidential.

Guess we'll have to wait for Drudge for the truth. LOL

The clip that Sean Hannity played was barely audible. Is this the same one?

he caught heavy flackFrom whom? Only those hating him all ready.
Here on FR the term "Clymer" became instantly adopted for use in things like:
"Clinton sure is a Clymer."

All I know is that somehow it is all Bush's fault. He must've tricked him again.

Dang, I read your headline and for a moment thought that he had been under truth serum and admitted he was a "leftist revolutionary" and a "communist supporter", both of which have always been self-evident based upon his self-promotion actions that brought him to public notice for the later and his votes in the Senate for the former.

It's important to note that Kerry calling Bush a "liar and a crook" doesn't qualify as dirty campaigning. Most likely Kerry was tired from weeks of non-stop campaigning, and didn't mean any harm.
On the other hand, if any Republicans should try to take political advantage of Kerry's honest mistake...
To: eureka!
....Kerry talking about Union he just addressed...
Actually, that may have a better result. The Union people would not appreciate being called crooks and liars...and, maybe, they would change their votes. The RNC should take that approach.

This was no mistake. Along with the "four asses" button of Theresa Heinz, it is simply proof these folks are waging all out war using
ad hominem attacks.
These attacks, contrary to many on these boards, have been effective. The problem is that half the people are smarter than the other half and those limited in intelligence or knowledge quickly respond to personal attacks.
Someone should tell Karl Rove and the rest we do not need "Sermon-On-The-Mount," uplifting messages and commercials. Keep up pointing out that Kerry is noting but a professional politician who takes all sides on all issues depending on the circumstances. Then someone, I don't know who, has to take these comments on as low rent, underclass gutter behavior. I posted similar comments several days ago and another poster indicated I was crazy because "why stop them from shooting themselves in the foot." The trouble is, many don't see this as below the belt blows and if you ignore them, they believe them.
To: Interesting Times
"In the news today, presidential hopeful John Kerry, in an unguarded moment, defended himself from a vicious Republican attack...meanwhile, in the must-win state of Ohio, Mr. Bush was heckled and booed by protesters."
(This is closer to what I heard on an ABC radio newsbreak than you might imagine.)
To: Interesting Times
True.
I still can't figure out how GW stating Kerry's voting for this-against this is negative campaigning. It's Kerry's voting record. How is revealing Kerry's voting record negative campaigning?

This is really being commented upon by MSNBC?
Are they defending Kerry?
Are they agreeing with the propriety of calling our President and/or his supporters...LIARS AND CROOKS?

I don't think we have to wait for an October F'ing meltdown. It is starting now. He is grasping for any tidbits and is really starting to act like a fool.

Yes, they played the tape, and then ran the Republicans response to it. Was surprised that was it.
