WASHINGTON -- An Arab-American group is calling on President Bush to remove a picture of an unidentified "Middle Eastern-looking" man from a campaign ad that focuses on terrorism. "It runs counter to everything the president said after [Sept. 11] about not targeting, about not indicting, all Arab Americans," James Zogby, president of the Arab American Institute, said Friday.
Yeah ! Bush needs to change that "Middle Eastern-looking" man image to a more suitable and appropriate one ...

"When you rely on a simple look to create fear or target a group, you end up targeting a very much larger group." Oh yes, just look at all the Chinese and Koreans who were targeted during WW2. </sarcasm>

Is this Zogby the same Zogby of the Zogby Poll?
To: French-American Republican
Probably not, but I had fun with the name anyway.

Zogby, who described himself as a Democrat but added that his group is nonpartisan, said the brief close-up of a swarthy man's face, just as the narrator mentions terrorism, is "a form of racial profiling." I hate to say it but he's right. Why show a swarthy man who "might be" a muslim arab when we have 19 real ones who could be shown instead? Mohamad Atta comes to mind...
Showing news as facts is not subject to to a "PC" filter.
Sorry Achmed.

Isn't zogby himself an Arab? I think he is.
BTW, I clicked on this thread just to laugh at the continuing uproar by the muslims and their friends -- the demodimwits; they can all go to hell, excuse my language!

The next Bush ad ought to show all 19 9/11 murderers...slowly...just for the benefit of the Zogby Bros.
To: irish guard
Ah, but you're forgetting Timothy McVeigh, the one example always trotted out by the Arab American Institute and CAIR as a reason to defame profiling.

Oops. (smacking myself in the face.) I read the article more thoroughly and see it clearly says that zogby is not only Arab, he is the leader of an arab group! When I posted, I roughly scanned it and was thinking it as about the NYS pollster zogby, who also is arab.
To: punster
Is the 'Arab American Institute' funded by Teresa Heinz Kerry, by the DNC, or by George Soros?
They are associated with CAIR. So their funding comes from the Saudis.

Perhaps someone should tell them that it was Arabs who hijacked airliners and flew them into buildings killing thousands of innocents. They obviously didn't get the memo.

I guess I missed Tim McVeigh's involvement in the 9/11 terrorism....isn't that what the ad was about?
