The commission can out the person holding this sensitive position in a public hearing but wants Mansor Ijaz to testify privately? Words fail me...
To: Texas_Jarhead
Is their reasoning that anyone's testimony that might hurt Bush should be public, but testimony that might implicate Bubba must be private?

Now this is nuts.
Well, the name of this games is, if they ever decide to blame someone, it won't be anyone political, but dedicated, hardworking in the shadows type of guys like this.
Well, anything to not shine the spotlight on the Saudis.

>>Threat Reduction Advisory Committee. Wonder what she did on that?
Remember that picture of Bill, Sandy and Maddie mimicking the three monkeys who neither see, speak or hear evil.
Just the first and last items count in this case.

Is the CMH anything like the MOH?

"
She also belonged to something called the Threat Reduction Advisory Committee. Wonder what she did on that?"
She searched for anything that might threaten terrorists and neutralized them.
To: Texas_Jarhead
Well, BUMP for that.

I don't think that means much. Now, if you google:
"James L. Pavitt" CIA
and get a bunch of hits (dated before yesterday, of course), I'd say he had already been outed. It's not like he has to live in a hole where he can't even have a credit card under his real name, he just can't be an open CIA spymaster.

Kerrey urged the White House to issue a legal opinion saying that Pavitt's appearance did not set a precedentWhat! I think that it ought to be spelled out in black and white that this was a precedence setting example of exposing our entire clandestine operations effort so a few political hacks and inside the beltway attornies could get some more air time.

And they were having fits, when the name of Joe WIlson's wife, Valerie Plame was mentioned in the context, that is how he got the assignment from the CIA to go check out the "rumors" about the terrorists trying to buy uranium in Niger.
Valerie was just an analyst, basically a nobody, and the Dems are still investigating, I think, demanding things from the White House.
What should be done with those on the 9-11 commission who committed this SIGNIFICANT security breach?!

"Valerie Plame. Well, I won't hold my breath waiting for the same folks who got hot and bothered about that to hit the roof over this."
Vice versa.

"My stomach's been turning as Mr. Pavitt's been answering questions here this afternoon," 9/11 commissioner former Sen. Bob Kerrey said.
Oh yeah???!!! Well my stomach turns every time one of you dems on the inquisition opens your mouths.
