I read your post to Rambette. She says the guy probably had court that day.

Thank you.
My time in uniform was long after Veitnam.
This troll just burned me up though.
The guys in my old unit would have made a half shrug motion towards the treeline and said the words 'party in the treeline' right before he got a beatdown if they met the troll in person.

SFO doesn't surprise me in the least, but not a hippie? Just goes to show you never really can tell.
Thank you, sir.

Re: Korea
Point taken and agreed to. I was really thinking of the Soviet Union and not China. If we extend the discussion to communism in general, then you both indeed correct.

I was really thinking of the Soviet Union and not China. Not to belabor the point, but N. Korea got quite a bit of Soviet help, and while the PRC army was already well established and self-contained, their air force was so Soviet depedant that some of the MiG-15 missions were being flown by Soviet pilots. I remember one account of an F-8g driver finding himself in a negative-g dive with a Chinese MiG, looking over at the enemy canopy and seeing bushy red eyebrows sticking out from under the leather flying helmet.
Without the Sovs, there probably wouldn't have been a Korean War.

Leftists love to try and compare Iraq to Viet Nam, when nothing could be further from the truth! I can understand why they hated Viet Nam, we were trying to stop communism. Why would they want to do that?
Viet Nam vets are HEROES, and you leftists are not good enough for them to waste their spit on okay?
Too bad you have no truth to get yourselves elected into office and have to rely on LIES!

The ROTC's also got it, into the mid '70's. I was an AFROTC cadet at New Jersey Institute of Technology. We got some "visits" from the Students Revolutionary Brigade, a bunch of Maoist scum from Rutgers University Newark campus across the street. It got interesting at times.
To: Fred Hayek
What is that scum at Univ of Ill-Ayers I think- he planned to blow up soldiers and their dates. Somehow, he didn't go to jail and is not teaching in Illinois. My Dad went to school there, but you couldn't pay me enough to allow any child of mine to attend a school where a would be murderer teaches. I saw left over hippies making fun of a shell shocked Vietnam vet in the early 80's. Loud noises made this guy look for cover-lightening storms and such. These guys brought cap pistols into the lecture hall in a Connecticut college. They thought it was funny; typical liberals.
