I saw Florence on an A&E thing, and she mentioned that kiss with Robert Reed. Years earlier, while watching Dr. Kildare, I remember one episode where Robert Reed's character was taking hormones in order to change his sex.
Dr. Kildare: "You look different?"
Robert Reed's character: "Do you think I look.....'softer'?
This comment has nothing to do with Doris Day.
Oh, that is great! Tony Randall was wonderful!
Ah those were the days - with CLASS.
I love the beginning too when Doris locked herself out of the house and was picking up eggs and milk from the front porch and her bathrobe was stuck in the door and she dropped the eggs and got them on her slippers.
Oh...which is the one with the pool in the back yard??? Didn't she drive into the pool??
She always had the BEST houses!
Not true, from what I've heard. I'm not big on star stories but from some reading, Flo went to lunch w/him or something, thought it was OK to do just to give "Greg" a boost or something. That was *once*.
That was the one with Happy Soap, I think. The pool was loaded with soapy bubbles.
Loved her houses and clothes and bubbly personality. Midnight Lace was so real and edge of your seat watching...even now knowing how it ends, it grips me.
oh, okay. Well did he make it into a bigger deal than it was? Because it seems to me there was something about it in a book he wrote or something.
I can NEVER remember which movie is which! That 1 was w/the soap, right? The pool was all soapy, too?
Greg, or was it Mike, also tried to nail Maureen MacCormick on a cruise but she wasn't interested.
Poor kid had no luck at all.
I hate to admit it but I liked Rock Hudson, that is until I found out he was a weirdo.
(Peach, I guess you and I have seen this movie a few times, huh? ;-)
You can read alot of the gossip/counter-gossip on "jumptheshark.com" for the Brady Bunch. I think you're correct that some book claimed some kind of "affair", but another said it was just some silly little lark, or whatever.
More times than I can count! I only own a few movies and that is one of them.
Yep ! She is great !

I think those who say he was a B actor have their political agenda showing.
Last week there was some program on about his life and acting career, and one of the guests said that RR -- while not the top actor of his day -- was definitely in the top 12.
That's not a B actor!
I just watched the last movie he made, The Killers. It was excellent! Strange to see him in a role like that though. But the movie was quite good.
The one I remember most is "THE MAN WHO KNEW TOO MUCH." with Jimmy Stewart. A real tear-jerker too.

"Rock Hudson was gay. I believe Doris knew this."
I know, but they made a lovely couple.
