Doug, who is 51 and lives in Upland, Calif., is in commercial real estate and was among those who questioned Bush during a Jan. 4, 2002, town hall meeting broadcast on C-SPAN. His photograph is posted on the FreeRepublic site, but he did not want to be interviewed using his last name because of concern that a liberal backlash would harm his business.

I know him so well, he lets me call him "Mr. Upland, esquire."

By giving all that information, they might as well have published his address. They certainly torqued this story to alert the Left and dump on the Right.

because she signed a petition against the war in Iraq, a national conservative Internet site has declared her an enemy of America.

I guess I just think of people who protest against the war in Iraq as shallow thinkers. I guess that they don't realize that we are fighting the most important war ever fought, we are fighting for our extinction, I find it really hard to believe that people just want us to lie down our weapons and surrender, just give our country over to them, it is shallow thinking if they think that surrender is the answer.

Postings on the FreeRepublic site often urge readers to call the employers of liberals to report their anti-war sentiments.

Damn RIGHT we do !!

Especially the Houston Chronicle, ABC, CBS, NBC. MSNBC, CNN, USAToday, LATimes, WashingtonPost, ad nauseum.

;^)

Keep it up, Doug; you are helping getting our country back.

"A Pew Research Center poll conducted earlier this year also found the number of people who get presidential campaign news from the Internet grew from 9 percent in 2000 to 13 percent this year. The number of people getting campaign news from traditional sources such as television networks and newspapers has declined as much as 10 percent. "

What has happened is that people are starting to realize that the media no longer has a standing in society as non-partisan, ethical journalists reporting facts and letting us decide on the content.

The Chronicle should be taken to task about freepers calling employers about their employees anti-American activities. I been here almost a year and never saw something to that effect. And if I did I would ask that it be stopped because that is not the way we do things here.

"Grass-roots political Internet sites have been springing up since the 2001 terrorist attacks. Those on the right vilify anyone who does not support President Bush and the Iraq war as communists and un-American, while those on the left use common curses to describe people on the right as fascists."

Funny, we do not curse here. We don't call for anyones death (other than the terrorists). Yet we villify yet the left uses "common curses." Someone from the HC should go over to the DUmmies site for a week. That is an education in pure unadulterated hatred and what is wrong with the left.

And that my friends is why people the "mainstream" press is quickly becoming obsolete.

The rift has always been wide. It only appears wider when we fight back!

Some liberal Web sites promote boycotts of conservatives, most particularly commentator Limbaugh. One Limbaugh boycott site is Take Back the Media, run by Michael Stinson, 51, who lives in an "undisclosed location."

has anybody told doug that he has been "outted'

I've noticed Archy has been away (doesn't seem to have posted since 6/02, last I checked). Are you maintaining the Civil War II ping list for now? Cause if so, I'd like to submit the two following subjects for Civil War II pings:

The report that a viewer was physically attacked by Democrat Brownshirts after he Displayed Insufficient Respect For The Party at Fahrenheit 9/11 yesterday; and

The fact that Democrats are sending convicted VIOLENT felons to homes in battleground states to "convince" people to vote for Kerry and to "register" them.

If you are maintaining the list, and would like me to ping you to those threads so you can do so, just let me know.

Internet helps widen rift between the political left, right

Truth trumps PROPAGANDA, as individuals gather to discuss issues.

Archy was evidently suspended and took it as a sign to depart forever, a loss for FR, IMHO.

His excellent homepage is still up, and you can cut and paste the CWII ping list from there, just scroll down some to find it.

Boy, sure glad there's never been any moderate debates between members here at FR.

We're all in lockstep, don't ya know.
