My translation of the broken english in this article seems to be saying that missles capable of delivering a nuclear warhead were discovered sans nukes.

Spin: "Oh, come on now, they could have been built to deliver anything from crop-dusting pesticides to baby formula in a range of 35 to 149 miles! This does not mean there is any evidence of weapons of mass destruction."

Well that could be just about any missile that can carry a hundred or so pounds of payload, then? Or would it have a special compartment labeled "Place Nuke Here"?

Or Hans Blix will tell us "These were merely nuclear warheads that we were already aware of."

Saddam didn't have the means to deliver the warheads to the US so this is a non issue.

Next.

This is going to put a real damper on the Democratic Convention next week.

Get ready for mass retractions from the media about their claims that "Bush lied."</sarcasm>

We followed this story all night on the site. What matters now is: a) is the story correct and b) how can the Liberals fool people about it if it is true.

Saddam: Katie, thank you for having me on the Today Show this morning to talk to the wonderful viewers out there in TV land. Let me start by saying I can assure you that, under my administration, we did everything possible to see that missles could not be smuggled into our country. And, if your kind and gracious enough to allow me to point out, this discovery did not take place under my watch. I wouldn't want to cast any blame here but the facts, as we know them to be, are that this new Iraqi administration is responsible for the safety and well-being of the good citizens of Iraq and to be quite frank, this happened under the new administration and I think voters will realize this in the fall. The good viewers of your TV program have to ask themselves why now? After 12 years of UN inspections and after George Bush has taken over my counry and installed a puppet government, now, all of a sudden, SURPRISE!

Now, Katie, I am not a conspiracy theorist, but sometimes you have to ask yourself...

Katie, we've spent enough time and money investigating this issue. This search has never fed a starving child. These attacks are all politically motivated. I question the timing. I would like to know who leaked this report. The investigators are right-wing Christians. What are their motives?

If this is true...

"If" remains the biggest word in the English language.

Oh, really?

If If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you; If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too; If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or being lied about, don't deal in lies, Or being hated, don't give way to hating, And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream -- and not make dreams your master; If you can think -- and not make thoughts your aim; If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster And treat those two imposters just the same; If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken, And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools;

If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss, And lose, and start again at your beginnings And never breathe a word about your loss; If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone, And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on!"

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, Or walk with kings -- nor lose the common touch, If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you, If all men count with you, but none too much; If you can fill the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds' worth of distance run -- Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it, And -- which is more -- you'll be a Man, my son!

He's already dead.

Next week's Democrat Convention will be a replay of A WEEKEND AT BERNIES.

He needed Edwards to bring life to the ticket!

Don't forget how many false alarms there were with biological WMD... Let's let this thing play out before getting overly excited. The news cycle on this ought to move fairly quickly.
