I would think they would leave them in the NL due to the number of teams and the fact that the Orioles are in the AL. You have the previous moves correct, the Twins and the Rangers were once the Senators.

"Wash DC is the richest zip code in the USA."
Which Zip Code in DC are you alluding to? I thought the richest (wealthiest) zip in the US was in Northern Virginia - Great Falls (suburb of DC). The last I heard Fairfax County, VA was the wealthiest county in the US - includes both Great Falls & McClean (both my sons graduated from McClean HS).
Just doing a fact check. DC does have some very nice/wealthy neighborhoods, but not the size of Great Falls, or Potomac, MD.

Ya beat me to it. That was a great time in baseball. Everyone could boo the Senators, delighting in their losses, especially during a home game. (Think in truth about a different Senators Team.)
The best enjoyment around.

I think the team should be one that should reflect recent history and give a nod to the local Baltimore Orioles!
Therefore, I nominate the team to be named...
The Washington Swallows!

I think DC's the correct move, albeit risky. Northern Virginia's such a boring, suburban, cop-out, amorphous blob non-choice that no one gets excited. All those "disappointed" fans can just as easily go into DC for the game.
Deal with RFK for a few years, but absolutely build a small, friendly retro park right in the middle of the capitol... on the Metro, and within walking distance from K street (or at least a short cab ride). Tear up some of the crappier neighborhoods near Union Station, say. MAKE IT EASY TO GO TO THE GAME!!!!
Bring back the old Walter Johnson-Senators-look, go retro all the way. And F**K PETER ANGELOS, MAKE HIM SQUIRM.

The Million Dollar Movie was a SHOW, featuring a different old movie. At one point they showed the same film every day at the same time each day for a week.
To: SoCal Pubbie
Sorry for the bad 'splain. I remember the show "The Million Dollar Movie" on channel 9, KHJ at the time, a RKO station. Damn Yankees was a great flick that I remember seeing on LA TV when I was a kid, probably on KHJ.

BTW. As a SoCal guy, you might enjoy this
site. It has radio airchecks from stations around the nation from the 50s, 60s and 70s, including KHJ radio and KMPC. Real Don Steele and Sam Riddle.

Great- another baseball team that the District won't support. What is this, the third team they've had?

Tab Hunter may have made out with Gwen Verdon on screen. Off screen, however, I heard that he was more interested in Rock Hudson.

Really? I thought the wealthiest county in America was a duel between Fairfield County, Connecticut and Morris County, New Jersey. Guess it changes depending upon which sector of the economy is doing well.

Weasal boy Peter Angelos will have his lawyers prepare the lawsuit. The Orioles owner is the biggest stumbling block to getting a team in DC.
