Just as government isn't derived from watery tarts throwing swords at people.

"...in a farcical aquatic ceremony!"

His heroic 4 months, say as compared to may vets who spent months and years in prison because of him.

purposely injuring yourself is no honorable duty, re-enacting battles so you look like the hero is no honorable duty, exploiting atrocities for political gain is no honorable duty, serving in the war and voting against every military upgrade imaginable is no honorable duty, missing 2/3 of your senate votes is no honorable duty, showing up to 38 out of 49 intelligence committee meetings is no honorable duty, ranting about how they are goign to crush the terrorists when he did not even vote for enemy combatants to get the death penalty is no honorable duty, I have plenty of more where that came from.

If Kerry's military service in Viet Nam is the high point of his life, he is even more intellectually destitute and morally bankrupt that anyone has yet imagined.

Come on, people. Even John Kerry has to have SOMETHING more stimulating that this. His days as a rock musician must have had more content and meaning. How about being Lieutenant Governor of Massachuetts, didn't that count for something? At least he held that job for a lot longer than he was in Viet Nam.

Quick. List EVERY piece of major legislation originating in the US Senate, which has John Kerry's name attached to as the primary author, or which he has introduced.

OK. Name ANY piece of legislation, major or minor, that may be attributed to John Kerry in any way.

Spear-carriers are not leaders.

Heroic service?
He served with distinction, perhaps, but labeling his service heroic is an overstatement.

"Their voice will not be silenced. They will go across America to spread the truth."

must be a Brit with humor like that - I found it exceedingly funny as well.

Ooh, ooh, let me!

Here's the full list

Impressive, eh? One wonders how he found the time to chase rich women.

I could be wrong, but I thought I read that he missed 38 of 49 Intel meetings.

purposely injuring yourself is no honorable duty,

I don't think anyone has ever suggested that he purposely injured himself.

One of his crewmates has stated that kerry was injured on one mission when he fired a grenade at some rocks and caught some shrapnel from it. The only indications I've seen are that the injury was accidental (and perhaps the result of having done a rather dumb thing) but clearly not purposeful.

I've read 12 articles on John Kerry today from various sources and only 8 of them mentioned his heroic service in Vietnam

Interesting, I read 24 articles on John Kerry today from various sources and only 16 of them mentioned his heroic service in Vietnam. I too was alarmed because the remaining 8 never called him a hero, just that in time of need, he heeded the nations call, volunteered for duty in Vietnam, served in a swift boat little different from the fast boat JFK commanded in WWII, repeatedly risked his own live to save his crewmens life and won three purple hearts.

It's an excerpt from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. King Arthur tries to explain to a peasant, how he came to be king and the peasant explains how real government is formed. "Help, help, I'm being repressed." Certainly, you've heard that before?

a local TV station here in the Twin Cities referred to the Clinton "presidency" and the Bush "regime" in their coverage
of the Cash and Kerry show.
