Any Freepers expecting much more than 325-350 EVs is living in fantasyland. I, for one FReeper, just want to see 275 EVs.
As far as doing guerrilla warfare with the sKerry campaign, there's enough material out there to do a "Kerry Flip-Flop of the Day" and be able to match the dates from now to the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November.

This election will have millions of new voters, a total wild card. Anyone who is looking in the past for guidance will be sorely disappointed.

The Dem Convention was the Dems streeeeetching their views to the breaking point to stay in the mainstream. It took everything they had. Even I felt heartened by what
looked like a beginning of
healing for a Party that's lost its way.
Since W and the Pubs don't have to stretch anything, they can spend their energy on actual positive politics.

I agree with you. This essay is a must read for all of us.
The cold hard facts are laid out for us, and we've got to face them.
I'm sure Karl Rove already has.

A new (and major) terrorist attack will accrue to GWB's benefit (not hoping for it, of course) for two reasons: the public in its fury will rally once more to the Bush-led War of Terror; and secondly, the Demonrats will not resist making the huge mistake of playing politics with the attack, blaming Bush form the attack instead of Al Queda.

Please accept corrected version: A new (and major) terrorist attack will accrue to GWB's benefit (not hoping for it, of course) for two reasons: the public in its fury will rally once more to the Bush-led War on Terror; and secondly, the Demonrats will not resist making the huge mistake of playing politics with the attack, blaming Bush for it instead of Al Queda.

What in God's green earth is going to change million vote+ deficits in places like California, NY, Illionis?
By getting the message out about the real Kerry, many of those voters now against Bush may not change their minds about Bush but may decide to stay home on election day.

If the Bush campaign were not so disciplined, it might have aired some of these ads already. But it decided to wait until voters are paying attention.Fred lacks Team Bush's discipline: He couldn't wait to tell everyone about these ads. :-)

"I've got to strongly disagree on that point. I'm quite sure that there are thousands of us veterans out here sending links to anti-kerry websites and talking to friends, family, and co-workers. You'll never know it from news reports but an awfully large number of people are hearing a whole bunch of stuff that kerry really doesn't want them to hear. I think Mr. 'war hero' is blind to this happening."
You are so right. Got an email from my Uncle, an air force general and F-100 pilot in Vietnam recounting the effect of Kerry on a POW friend. Pretty devastating. And that's just my Uncle.

The circulation of the Weekly Standard, and the political junkies who read about it on the internet is not everybody.
The ads will still be very effective.
