I second what Darksheare just said. You'll soon figure out which posters and/or topics to avoid.

We were all newbies once! (Well, maybe Darksheare wasn't.)

LOL!
Yes, I was a 'snot nosed puking mewling noobie' once myself.
Way back in October of 2000, a time of upheaval and election finagling by the left.
First person I ran into, and was flamed by, was Asmodeus if I recall correctly.
*chuckle*

Though, again a word of caution, if you're as weird with thehumor as I am you'll end up branded and unable to discuss certain things with any credibility.
But, admittedly, I find lately that I am here more for fun and friends/ shooting the breeze.

I find that I am doing the in this time of election-teeth-gnashing. Some folks are just too darn series around here.

I thought that Dubya flew the F104 Thunderchief. (Not to diminish his accomplishment either way.)

I agree with you both. Although serious discussion can take place, I'm happy knowing that there are others who are able to not place a "brain surgery" label on anything and everything.

I've seen some disagreements around here become explosive and very hateful. Really now, what's the sense in that?

Dunno.
Sometimes the arguments can be pretty senseless, or happen simply because someone is having a bad day and are slightly touchy on certain subjects.

Or something is said in a way that can be misunderstood way too easily, Lord knows I've done THAT often enough.
I tend to be very cautious about what discussions I go into.
I prefer a good laugh more often than not.
But I never turn down a good scrap if I can't avoid it.
Otherwise, I stay out of it because there's people with way more info than I have to make the good points.
(I tend to not pay attention to the news. I have a 'special' dark place in my heart for newsies.)

LOL!
Sometimes I am funny AND series at the same time.
(Which stunes some.)
Dunno, depends largely on my mood and or current local dealings.

Ted Kennedy, who most would acknowledge as the most accomplished Democratic Senator in a generation...

Yeah, as a drunken, dissolute bimbokiller, Fat Teddy is pretty accomplished - for a democRat.

Same for Hollyweird "elites" and entertainers. How anyone can suffer through a show about Hollyweird elites is beyond me. I wouldn't give you a quarter for the entire group, much less a nickel for their opinion.

Yeah, they all remind me of faded ghosts that sit outside the window begging for attention, and the less attention you give them the less real they are.

Yep. The one moment that really solidified my position was 9/11 and the actions by the Hollyweird crowd rescheduling their precious awards ceremonies due to fears that they would be also be attacked.

Spit, on average, Hollyweirdos are terrorists biggest supporters. They were ticked beacise their putrid existence was shown to be insignificant in the light of such devastation and carnage, and they were no longer in the limelight.

I wonder how long Hollyweird will wait before putting out a version of those events, natuarally with the focus on them? They'll probably have the terrorists as the good guys as well.

Probably right on that, Hollyweirdhas had an oozing love for putrescence for years.
They will likely put out a movie with some theme where the terror-boys are heroically doing their 'duty' somehow.
*wretching barf*

Notice that the less we pay attention to Hollyweird and the pressies, the more hysterical and outrageous they become?

I think that will be what finally puts me over the edge. I'm not much of a movie-goer, primarily because I don't like crowds of rude people munching popcorn in my ear and kicking my seat, not to mention the sounds system is WAY too loud, but when I do go I'm very selective. They way hollyweird is behaving, I'm fast running out of options.

(I confess I saw Harry Potter twice rather than give ONE THIN DIME to Michael Moore.)
