>>• He and John McCain negotiated an agreement with Vietnam to provide a full accounting for POW-MIAs.

Which never happened. McCain and Kerry performed little more than a coverup.

>>• He wrote the first bill reducing acid rain.

The Clean Air Act, the cornerstone of environmental law, was signed into law by President Nixon, over a decade before Kerry became a senator.

>>• He has repeatedly led the charge in protecting the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge from drilling.

What a dunce. America's economy requires oil, and yet Kerry is in bed with foreigners, in particular with the Saudis.

>>• He has passed legislation that shut down money laundering activities of terrorists and drug traffickers.

Bad example. Republicans have always been at the forefront of drug law enforcement.

>>• President Clinton Praised Kerry for Putting 100,000 COPS on the Street

Far less were actually "put on the street" with this con-job. All Clinton and Kerry tried to do was federalize all law enforcement, a dangerous precedent.

>>• Democratic Leader Tom Daschle Says Kerry Knows How to Get the Legislative Job Done in the Senate

Only a fool would believe anything Daschle says, so you are a fool.

Frankly, sonny, everything you wrote is spin. Get a real life.

John Kerry has taken on the special interests and won.

Like Planned Parenthood, Unions, Environmentalists and trial lawyers? What did he win? a cookie? The only reason he argued for a hike in minimum wage is because of unionized workers.

He fought against Newt Gingrich’s anti-labor and anti-environmental regulatory reform.

Kerry fought and lost. I think he even voted against welfare reform.

"From our teen-smoking bill to HMO reform and Campaign Finance Reform, John Kerry has demonstrated that he clearly knows how to get the job done. He is a valued and trusted member of our leadership team, and I am pleased he has accepted another term as Chairman of the Steering and Coordination Committee." [Daschle Press Release, 11/19/98]

HMOs are a Kennedy creation and CFR is a disaster. What job did Kerry get done? His only function as a senator is to vote in the senate and he can't even do that this year.

I noticed how you left out Kerry's foreign policy. I bet even the most ardent Kerry supporter can't figure that out.

"He wrote the first bill reducing acid rain. "

And now his actions are increasing stomach acid. This affects me daily and I don't appreciate it.

Kerry's CV:

He's not a leader. He doesn't even run his own campaign. He has no major legislative accomplishments. He is nothing more nor less than an empty suit.

I couldn't help but notice your lack of literacy, the only exception being your obvious cut-and-pastes from Democratic handouts or websites. Come back after you've graduated elementary school and we'll talk.

1) Drunk

Overcame an addiction through faith and personal conviction demonstrating true strength of character. Few people ever domonstrate this level of self control during their lifetime.

2) Failed businessman (Arbusto Energy)

Fellow business owners during this period of oil field bust credit Bush with keeping his business alive and the people working for him employed two years longer than conditions in the area would warrant. It is a testament to his strong business savvy.

3) Got daddy to get him into the weekend warrior Air national guard where he went AWOL

Daddy had nothing to do with it. He volunteered for two years of continuous service which moved him instantly to the top of the list. It was necessary for pilot training. He wanted to be a pilot and that was the most direct route. Released Military records and eyewitness accounts have demonstrated he fulfilled his military commitment completely. Incidentally, the F102 Delta Dagger which Bush flew was one of the most dangerous planes to fly at that time. Nearly 10% of the total planes in commission were involved in fatal crashes. Perhaps not as dangerous as an infantry position in Viet Nam, but hardly a safe cushy position.

4) Again, daddy got him his position as governor where he had one of the worst records in history

Spearheaded education reform, including significant raises in teacher salaries; major tax reform, business reform, tort reform, large budget surpluses, reelected by an overwhelming majority, all state wide offices held by Republicans in what had been a traditionally Democrat state. Damn, a lot of people would love to have a "terrible" record like that.

5) He rode to the presidency on daddy's shoulders where he couldn't even win that right. Stole election via the Supreme court, overriding the tradition of federalism and states rights.

The ballots were counted three times by the state of Florida and by six different media consortiums. Perhaps you would like to tell us which one of those counts Gore won, because I never heard of one reported in the news.

Your hatred of Bush has made you either willfully remain ignorant or willfully attempt to deceive people. Whichever the case, why should people pay any attention to anything else you say when you have demonstrated such a lack of personal integrity?

In the Senate, he authored a Children's Health Initiative for children in working families through subsidized vouchers that allow easier access to private health insurance

Kerry was an original sponsor of the Women's Health Equity Act, providing women of all ages with high-quality health care, including an emphasis on breast cancer prevention and treatment

So what? These are just a few of the many things in which Kerry and his fellow Dems have involved the federal government which are not at all the federal government's responsibility. It's not the job of the Congress to make sure there are nurses in rural areas, to make sure 4-year-olds in Tuscaloosa have pre-school or to provide medical care for people who would rather spend their money on something other than insurance premiums.

Kerry is a steaming pile of ...

There is no forgiveness for what Kerry did to his fellow soldiers after he got back from Vietnam. All for his own self promotion and career advancement.

His lack of achievements in the Senate is confirmation ... It's just all about him.

I've learned never to be post #2 on a troll thread. Once the troll is removed, banished, zotted, paved, stuned, and planted, unlucky #2 gets all the snarky comments intended for the troll.

Has your message button caught fire yet from all the flames?

"• He wrote the first bill reducing acid rain."

Oddly, it only reduced acid rain when used like blotter paper, an umbrella, or when the rain was LSD.

"He and John McCain negotiated an agreement with Vietnam to provide a full accounting for POW-MIAs."

That's not the way I heard it. Kerry destroyed all the notes from his investigation.

Didn't need to read any further.

He and John McCain negotiated an agreement with Vietnam to provide a full accounting for POW-MIAs.

Sold them out.

• He wrote the first bill reducing acid rain.

No he didn't.

• He has repeatedly led the charge in protecting the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge from drilling.

He didn't lead. He followed.

• He has passed legislation that shut down money laundering activities of terrorists and drug traffickers.

No, that was his excuse when voting for the PATRIOT ACT that he now balks about.

to ban deadly assault weapons to pass the Brady bill, the other side, [the Republicans] led the fight against it.

John Kerry is a GUN GRABBER who also voted to ban .30-30 ammunition. He's a freedom grabber, and your support of this freedom grabber shows that your screenname is too good for the likes of you.

But John Kerry helped us pass the toughest, smartest, best crime bill this country has seen in many a day, and the crime rate has gone down for four years in a row. John Kerry was on the right side of history.” [Public Papers of the President: Fall River, MA; 8/28/96]

LOL. Bullshit. Crime is a STATE, CITY, TOWNSHIP, and COUNTY level issue. The feds aren't involved in most crime issues. It's the state police and locals that are involved in most criminal activities. And if you want a real coalition in dropping crime rates, look at when states passed shall issue conceal carry laws.

Democratic Leader Tom Daschle Says Kerry Knows How to Get the Legislative Job Done in the Senate

Of course he'll say that. He's a democrat.

I am pleased he has accepted another term as Chairman of the Steering and Coordination Committee." [Daschle Press Release, 11/19/98]

Which does nothing.

Even Dr. Bill Frist, Senate Majority Leader Says Kerry’s Global AIDS Legislation is a “Huge Step Forward”: “’The Kerry-Frist bill is a huge step forward,”

One minor issue he takes a lead on. Big deal.

57 bills and resolutions John Kerry has sponsored over the years have passed the U.S. Senate. Countless others have been improved because of his work, including the Clean Air Act, the Children’s Health Insurance Program and the COPS program.

57 in 19 years. 3 a year, and that includes Resolitions which are pure BS anyway, so it's probably more like 25-30 in 19 years. As for the 'others improved', he wasn't a leader on them since those 8 resolutions or bills passed INCLUDED ALL AMENDMENTS.

• John Kerry has taken on the special interests and won.

WHERE?

• He fought against Newt Gingrich’s anti-labor and anti-environmental regulatory reform.

And JOHN KERRY VOTED FOR ANTI-LABOR PRO-OUTSOURING bills.

• He has fought to raise the minimum wage. • He has worked to shut down wasteful corporate subsidies.

HOW?

• And John Kerry played an important role in the effort to reach a settlement with the tobacco companies that ended marketing to children and teenagers.

Which is crap.

1) Drunk
He quit.

2) Failed businessman (Arbusto Energy)
He did well with the Texas Rangers.

3) Got daddy to get him into the weekend warrior Air national guard where he went AWOL

He didn't go AWOL, and at least he didn't call his 'brothers' murderers like your boy Kerry did.

4) Again, daddy got him his position as governor where he had one of the worst records in history

First off, daddy has only one vote. The people of Texas got him in - TWICE. Voted for him for president too.

5) He rode to the presidency on daddy's shoulders where he couldn't even win that right. Stole election via the Supreme court, overriding the tradition of federalism and states rights.

Bullshit. IF anyone tried to steal an election, it was Gore, Wexler, Deutsch and those idiots in Palm Beach and the Florida Supreme Court. That's not counting the cigs for votes schemes in Detroit and Wisconsin.

He helped

He helped. Translation. He was one vote and a follower.

Through cooperative efforts with former Sen. Bumpers of Arkansas, Kerry has fought to reduce capital gains taxes

And voted for Klinton's tax increase.

Kerry supported Sen. Joe Biden's 1994 Crime Law, which created over 1,500 new police officers.

How did it create cops?

As part of Kerry's platform on gay rights, he supports civil unions for gay and lesbian couples, including inheritance rights, health benefits and insurance, family leave, bereavement leave, pension plans, hospital visitation, and survivor benefits from Social Security.

Why the hell should I have to pay for that crap?

He supports legislation to give these rights to federal workers. Shortly after being elected to the Senate in 1985, Kerry joined in introducing an anti-discrimination bill.

A waste of MY money.

He was one of 14 senators in 1996 to speak out against and vote against the Defense of Marriage Act

So he supports gay marriage.

Kerry sponsored the original Ryan White Comprehensive AIDS Resources Emergency Care Act

A sponsorship doesn't mean jack. Many sponsor a bill they know is going to pass at the last minute.

He sponsored original versions of the McCain-Feingold Campaign Finance Bill to ban "soft money" (unlimited donations from corporations, unions, and individuals) and sham attack ads

Anti-free speech.

He teamed with Sen. Paul Wellstone of Minnesota to present a Clean Money bill that would give candidates the option of financing their political campaigns with grant expenditures from a public campaign trust fund.

I shouldn't have to pay for his BS.

Kerry joined a bipartisan effort for meaningful election reform, by sponsoring Kentucky Sen. Mitch McConnell's Federal Election Reform Act of 2001

Again, sponsorship means nothing.

The senator was one of the original organizers of the first Earth Day in Massachusetts (in 1970), and chaired the National Earth Day board in 1990

Big deal.

He and Boxer passed a Senate amendment to impose a moratorium on oil drilling in the Outer Continental Shelf and the West Coast, including California's coastline. The Kerry-Boxer amendment closes a loophole that would have allowed oil companies to drill in environmentally sensitive areas and protects the fishing and tourism industries from being trumped by Big Oil

Alright! More Arab Oil!

Kerry cosponsored Lincoln Chafee's Brownfields Revitalization and Environmental Restoration Act of 2000, a bipartisan bill providing national brownfields cleanup and redevelopment in urban areas

Again, cosponsorship means nothing.

Along with Sen. Biden, Kerry sponsored a State Department bill amendment tackling global climate change by mandating the Bush Administration to engage in international environmental renegotiations and to work toward revising Kyoto

Kyoto was defeated 99-0 in the senate.

He and Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) brokered a bipartisan compromise to propose increasing fuel-efficiency standards by 50%, with a goal to reach a fuel economy average of 36 miles per gallon by the year 2015.

Bad for jobs in Michigan. More outsourcing. F' that.
