Oh, lay off. For your information, Pat Buchanan had an uncle who died at Auschwitz. The poor SOB fell out of a guard tower.

I don't agree with Buchanan on a lot of issues ( especially his staying in The Nixon WH after Nixon went to China and then started detente . I think he should have left ) but your childish attempt at humor is pathetic

For something to be humorous it has to have a basis in fact

All his uncles served in WWII and one even had the Sullivan rule waived so he could be sent in combat

How about your uncles ?

Buchanan always seems to side with the Arabs.

That doesn't mean you are given carte Blanche to behave like a 6 year old

I rest my case.

You never had a case for your name calling style of "debate"

Hitler was a hero in WWI, won some sort of top medal for bravery or another. He also claimed he would change German foreign policy and the economy. Hitler was a corporal, Kerry was a lieutenant j.g., basically a commissioned corporal (that was no hit at corporals, they, along with other NCOs are the backbone of the U.S. military).
So "Hitler" would be more apropos to Kerry than Buchanan.

How about your uncles ?

WWII: Two great-uncles in Europe, one in the Pacific. All survived.

Korea: One great-uncle. Survived.

I have only one uncle, who never served; but my father did four years in the Army, 1958-1962.

Satisfied?

First they let Michael Moore into the convention and then pat buchanan...things are really going down the toilet in NYC.

I particularly liked listening to the part where Medved quotes from buchanan's book where he claims that Islamic Extremists ARE NOT a threat to America.

Taliban Pat might be a little far, but calling him "Constitution? Pfffff!!!" Pat wouldn't.

I lost the last shred of respect I had for him in 2000 when he tried to argue that some of the votes for him in Florida should have went to Gore.

I do like Pat's strong stance on Immigration & Illegal Alien issues, just like Michele Malkin.

Yes, he is, in fact, anti-semetic.

Martin Luthor King said it best:

".. You declare, my friend, that you do not hate the Jews, you are merely 'anti-Zionist.' And I say, let the truth ring forth from the high mountain tops, let it echo through the valleys of God's green earth: When people criticize Zionism, they mean Jews - this is God's own truth. Anti-Semitism, the hatred of the Jewish people, has been and remains a blot on the soul of mankind....And what is anti-Zionist? It is the denial to the Jewish people of a fundamental right that we justly claim for the people of Africa and freely accord all other nations of the Globe....The anti-Semite rejoices at any opportunity to vent his malice. The times have made it unpopular, in the West, to proclaim openly a hatred of the Jews. This being the case, the anti-Semite must constantly seek new forms and forums for his poison. How he must revel in the new masquerade! He does not hate the Jews, he is just 'anti-Zionist'! ...Let my words echo in the depths of your soul: When people criticize Zionism, they mean Jews - make no mistake about it."

- Martin Luther King Jr.

Pat Buchanan went off the reservation on a number of issues. I forget the basis for calling him anti-semitic, but I think he and a number of conservatives became America firsters to the point of not wanting to play an active role in the World (i.e., not invade Iraq). But Buchanan has stuck to the facts on the Swifties.

According to buchanan in both his new book and now on the Medved show:

1) Islamic Extremists are NO THREAT to America.

2) Islamic Extremists wouldn't bother us if we pulled completely out of the middle east and allowed them to slaughter Israel.

I'd say the Taliban comparison is very valid.

Yes. There is something floating aroud where he says:
"Beware of people who speak of anti-zionism. You are talking of an anti-semite" or something to that effect. That isn't real. This is the real quote.

"Being for America first is anti-everything else."

buchanan sure wasn't anti-Mercedes while he was pushing his America first agenda. It was only when reporters pointed out his hypocrisy that buchanan finally discovered, much to his surprise, that America also built large autos and bought a Caddie.

Being for America first is anti-everything else.

Simmer down here, lets not bounce from isolationist over to World Police.

I consider America first in all issues, if people call me selfish that's their problem.

Unlike Kerry, Hitler earned his medals. Ow! that hurts.
