Am I the only one who finds these last two ads a bit less effective? This one is actually a bit confusing.......
I hope the Swiftess still have some bullets left in the magazine.....Fire away, guys!!!
I was thinking the same thing.

It's a different one. They just keep getting better !
The RNC needs to run an ad with LTC Calhoun ala the SBVFT Gardner ad where he says, "George Bush served his time in the guard. I was there. We spent man days working together. He was not ever under any definition in any way shirking his duty. Not ever."
When you get a willing horse like skerry's record, you flog it another mile.
Drive it home, re-enforce his ever changing going back over 30 years ago, re-enforce, re-enforce, kerry is a liar, kerry is a liar, in his own words kerry is a liar, cannot be trusted, cannot be trusted.
We want the knockout punch, a great boxer can frustrate his opponent's every move and cut him to pieces with sharp bloody jabs, reducing him to a whimpering ineffectual.
Maybe the SBVfT are enjoying Kerry's political death by a thousand cuts.
Here's a script I'd love to see them use for an ad:
There's a word for attacking your country in a time of war (clip of Kerry testifying in the background)
There's a word for making false accusations against your fellow soldiers. (Same clip)
There's a word for giving aid and comfort to your country's enemies. (Text "Kerry called Ho Chi Minh Vietnam's George Washington")
There's a word for privately negotiating with the enemy. (text in background "Kerry met with the North Vietnamese")
The word is ...
Treason.
1) It's nitpicky. Its attempt to prove Kerry's a liar relies ENTIRELY on the viewer being able to discern a difference between medals and ribbons. Sorry, but anyone who understands that difference is already voting for Bush. And who cares if he threw five or six or seven over the fence and changes his story on the number. It's so nitpicky that a neutral viewer will scrunch up their face watching it and go "Bleah." This ad is purely red meat for the true believers.
2) Secondly, there's no gravitas. To go from this silly nitpicky humorous rapid cutting of video clips to the conclusion: "John Kerry--can you trust anything he says?" It just doesn't fit. The evidence in the first half of the ad doesn't lead me to the extremely grave conclusion that I can't trust anything John Kerry says.
There's so much better serious material to use to make the point that you can't trust anything John Kerry says. The medals vs. ribbons flap may be important to the SBV, but it's totally irrelevant to the swing voter. We're talking about who's going to save thousands of lives in Iraq, not about who can remember what they threw over a fence thirty years ago.
Thanks for the ping Tonk!
Thank you Swift Vets!
