Careful - they've been around for 32 years and are still waiting to win the World Series... They were once known as the Washington Senators. Kerry is a Senator. I smell coverup.

Hey, grandpappy and his bros weren't motley but real men! Tis true. If only half the stories surrounding the Rangers, particularly in the early days, are true, these "dudes" ain't somebody you'd want to mess with.

Ronnie Earle....... maybe it can be given to another jurisdiction instead. Earle is the Travis County (Austin) DA. The Travis County DA gets part of his funding from the State of Texas and is charged investigating and prosecuting certain public corruption cases. As a private citizen dealing with an out of state corporation Burkett doesn't come under Earle's purview.

I'm not doubting the Rangers won't do a fine job. I know they will. I was just wondering about forging government/military documents and wire fraud. Those would be federal offenses and I don't know what the jurisdiction of the Rangers is.
Anyway - Go Rangers Go!!

Then who would present and what grand jury would hear the evidence and issue indictments and then who would be the prosecution?

Unfortunatly the Texas Rangers will be eliminated from the playoffs, leaving the probe unresolved during the presidential election. A spokesman for the Rangers however has stated that "the Rathergate memos will be a top priority as soon as the team begins spring training next year".

Could also investigate Texas newspaper collusion: how else would you explain the fact that it took the Washington Post to actually go out and investigate this?
OH, yeah - incompetence!
